Oh my gosh! My mom would’ve fainted if she had seen me do the cut-tear method! 🤣 She was quite the seamstress so she was very exact and precise. In going through her things after she passed, she absolutely would be tossing in her grave to see me chop up her wedding petticoat to make clusters 😂!! Not her wedding dress (yet) but what harm is it in repurposing the petticoat!! From the 50’s! Vintage fabric at its best 🌸💕 Love this cover and the journal 😘

The cover is gorgeous! You are correct, the 7 days of toppers definitely helped me! I just made my favorite cover Friday! I think the more I do, the more confident I will get. It was the last thing I did on my journal too.I added so much! Usually I just add a cluster. I added fabric, lace and large flowers! So fun! Can’t wait for your flip through!!! 💜

Lol your desk is a goldmine of yummy stuff 😄. Yes those layers of lace and stuff framing her look gorgeous 😍. Oh the curved ruffle is so CUTE. Yes I like an OTT cover, very luxurious looking😍. Super yummy cover Tina 😍😍😍. The hot glue makes things sturdier too! Absolutely gorgeous cover a looking forward to the flip through! Oh btw, the seller cancelled my Lewis Carroll book (sold more than he had!) And the fairy book shot up in price so I got the box of her flower fairy postcards. OMG Tina, even the box is adorable 😍. I'll be hoarding it until next year 🙊 and might have to get a second set. I don't mind them being the same size as I can cut some out and as I won't be selling it I can scan and enlarge some. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

Oh what a shame about the Lewis Carol book, I’ve had that happen with a couple of books before, it’s disappointing isn’t it? I’ve seen those flower fairy postcards, they look beautiful, yes get a second set just to keep! Haha. I might have to treat myself to a box of them too……like I need anything else! Lol. You are so creative. Covers are not a problem for me as a general rule however, decorating snippets or pockets always give me a case of the vapors. Weird right!

Darling cover! Since hot glue is temporary, you could've removed the topper, added on the sari for the tie closure. and reglued the topper. Having the sari wap around will protect the topper from being popped off it it's put between other books. Lucky Lady whoever gets this journal!

Hi Tina, It appeared that you ran the sewing machine over areas of hot glue, that worked out ok? I was wondering about doing this. Maxine

I have had problems with running the sewing machine over the hot glue in the past, so if it went over ok here, it was just luck! Lol. I try whenever I can to avoid hot glue where I am going to be sewing xx

No worries Vera, I did that once on someone’s video, and like you I instantly panicked and tried to tap again to remove it and was horrified to then have disliked it twice! Like you I felt terrible, but apparently it all counts as engagement so it’s really all good, lol. It definitely a bad design that if you try to tap off it actually adds another dislike 😧 xx
