Nabu Malikata, otherwise known as the Goddess of Flowers, was a god who lived in Sumeru thousands of years ago. In this video, I go over her story as shown in the Flower of Paradise Lost artifacts, as well as what happened after she died.

I would really love a video about just the celestial nails and all their locations and potentially effects that they caused as I never heard of a nail being on tsurumi and it seems like a very fascinating topic. Please and thank you. Love your videos and I hope you will get more recognition cuz this channel is CRIMINALLY underrated.

tbh i find Tsurumi Island extremely frustrating, since the Ley Line branch/root clearly indicates that a nail or some other Celestial object is there, but aside from that there's no clue as to where the nail could possibly be located. In "Sun-Wheel and Mt. Kanna", we touch one of the Thunderbird feathers and it tells us; "Once, strange objects fell from the heavens, one of which landed upon this island, after which your sky returned to its clear state. Afterward, the fog started to emerge. Though you had the power to disperse that fog, it meant little to you either way. Afterwards, those fur-less human beings began to gather the feathers that you shed. Most puzzling behavior indeed." So some object did fall from Celestia. At first I thought that since there's no nail, the strange object had to be the Star-Shaped Gems that you find in the ruins under Shirikoro Peak and place into the mountain murals for the three Electro seelie puzzles that give you a luxurious chest, however the feather said "strange objects fell from the heavens, one of which landed upon this island". This means that from a set of similar objects that fell from Celestia onto places all across Teyvat, *one* fell onto Tsurumi. We don't see any Star-Shaped Gems anywhere else in the world, and the only other object we've seen come from Celestia is the nail, not to mention it can't be the Gems alone since there's three of them on the island so it must be a nail. The problem is, you cannot find any piece of a nail anywhere there at all. And what's more, even by lifting the Skyfrost Nail and the Spiritstone, we make little to no changes in the climates of Dragonspine and the Chasm. However we do not see let alone remove any nail, and yet we're able to remove all of the fog on Tsurumi Island by ourselves. Tbh the feather also states that whoever its referring to can also remove the fog by themselves, that probably being the Thunderbird but even she's something of a God, and if it was her she clearly did not remove it or the nail.

This reminds me of that one theory from roozevelt on shattered halberd book series, like ominous swords and nails correlation. In the book, a person collected 3 out of 9 ominous swords, one of which is sword of Mist. Mist is also in Tsurumi island, caused by the nail. The "Mist" nail is also missing. So similar cases maybe could be with the other Ominous swords/nails and their locations or status as being collected or not. I just really thought that was a cool correlation.

Unlike Tsurumi Island, we do actually know where the nail on Mt. Damavand is. Ofc we can't climb it, but we can make it out. It's what the blue light inside the largest sandstorm at the center of Mt. Damavand is. When Deshret used the nail's power to create the Eternal Oasis, he built it atop the nail. I think from the Secret Keeper's Magic Bottle, we can also assume how the Goddess of Flowers died. In the description before she dies, she says: "I shall fashion you a bridge to allow you to slake your deepest wants. But you must fear not the *crystalline sapphire nail*..." Later comes the part where the bottle describes her death; "Wreathed in darkness, she guided her dearest friend toward the path to understanding all there was to know about the skies and the abyss. Using her body as a conduit and offering the oasis in trade, she let the dazzling radiance consume her to see his deepest desires be made manifest... Sandstorms swept in revelrous havoc across the paradise that was now missing one of its gods, folding the skies with yellow sand, swallowing all in calamity... King Deshret returned from the swirling sands that devoured the skies. The Lord of Flowers, however, was never seen again." I believe she was teaching Dehsret the forbidden knowledge about Celestia and the abyss atop Mt. Damavand in the dead of night, and after she revealed it, she stood at the very peak and center of the mountain. The "dazzling radiance" that consumed her was the nail, which came down and impaled her. The nail created the great sandstorm surrounding itself at the center of the mountain, as well as the other sandstorms we see across the desert of Hadramaveth, and Deshret emerged from the great sandstorm alone. Her dying there's probably also partially the reason why Deshret built the Eternal Oasis atop the nail. The final quote in the bottle further proves this is where she passed; "... I just dreamed of you... feeling your way through the walls of a *crystalline* maze... All that can be seen... is but sand..." I interpreted this as Deshret dreaming of the Goddess of Flowers' spirit roaming about within the nail itself, and looking out to see nothing but the sand that makes up the giant sandstorm that envelops it.

Holy shit. That also means people were wrong about her. She didn’t kill herself to make people feel sad about it. She let herself die by making herself a target of Celestia, showing Deshret both the power of the Abyss and the power of the Celestial nail. She cared so much about his dream that she let herself be killed for it. No wonder he felt so bad about her death and tried to revive her, it was basically his fault.
@hpropganda
@hpropganda Жыл бұрын
@@Zeke1460 this was written before 3.6, and unfortunately Nahida's second story quest seems to have debunked some of ny theory. Since including both the nail that made sumeru a desert, and the nail that nabu Malikata warned about, there are 2 times that nails are mentioned in Sumeru's lore, however there is only one nail in Sumeru's entire map. And ofc since the desert nail is mentioned by characters in a story quest, and while the nail nabu Malikata warned about was only mentioned in an artifact set, it's no surprise people will refer to the Mt damavand nail as the desert nail. Since this is the only nail in sumeru (maybe establishing a precedent that there's only one nail per nation), perhaps it really was the desert nail, although that does not at all explain why the Goddess of Flowers was warning deshret about a nail in paradise lost. it's also definitely not true that she died as the desert nail fell, since both she and Deshret both lived in western sumeru as it was a desert only, and they were also alive during the Archon war, so the desert nail had already fallen by the time they were there. Instead, I think the most likely answer is that maybe the nail somehow "reactivated", or there's another nail in Sumeru's desert, but I doubt that. The desert nail reactivating is the only way I can rationalize why there's just one nail, and why Nabu Malikata warns Deshret of a nail despite the fact that there already was one in Sumeru's desert.

I'm really looking forward to Nahida's 2nd story quest because we never really got to see her talking about the other gods of sumeru, we've only heard of her thoughts and interactions with Rukkhadevata but that's about it And if the next weekly boss really was Apep who was more related to Deshret than Rukkha it would be interesting to see how Nahida would be involved with Desert stuff

@krezzybot yea that's why I'm curious to see what she'd think of them and what happened in the past She has no direct attachments to them so her perspective as a successor of Sumeru's archon but has vast knowledge and wisdom on many things Especially after the ending of the archon quest where the history of the world literally changed to where Nahida was always the archon despite it being inconsistent with actual events

A thought been brewing for long time. The chance Apep killed Nabu in order get at and manipulate Deshret out of spite or revenge(who knows). Since Deshret has themes of Ra, Horus, Solomon, and Osiris. Oh fun detail on Eternal Oasis, Deshret might have had help from Istaroth to make the Oasis. ❤

I love your videos! And the artifact series is super nice to chill and listen to with a tea or something😂 it’s still up for interpretation so it was interesting to hear yours, but I’ve always thought that when GoF warned Deshret that he is fated to lose much by learning forbidden knowledge- that she suggested she will die - and still he chose to continue anyway. while it doesn’t align with his love for her, it’s possible he truly believed he could bring her back, perhaps like how in the book “Vera’s Melancholy”, “the future saves the past”… but that’s enough of my crazy deshret theories😂 Thanks again for putting so much effort into these videos- I really like them!

Would you by any chance be willing to weigh in your own thoughts on the "Is celestia evil?" Debate in the future? Recently I watch a video which paint king deshret' rebellion along with others forsaken civilizations of the past as heroes who stand up to a force of tyranny (i.e. celestia) who want bend all in tevyat according to their will and rules and what the fatui and tsaritsa is doing now is the latest and best attempt to break this so called tyranny so it's best that we support it Sounds all well and good but for some reason it just doesn't sit well with me, I feel like the way the overall story has progressed to view things in such a plain way isn't the right thing to do. Something more complex is possibly at work here and blame for what had happened in the past is more equally spread than we might think.

I still think that Cyno, Nilou, and Candace are somehow reincarnations of King Deshret, The Goddess of Flowers, and Rukkhadevata.
@TangledRivers
@TangledRivers Жыл бұрын
This would be weird. How would Candace fit into it? Why would she reincarnate as one of them and not Nahida? Cyno is unlikely. A more apt mirror for Deshret is actually Kaveh (see Ashikai's theory about their identical symbolism and appearance). Nilou is unlikely to be a reincarnation of the Goddess of Flowers; she's more likely just a narrative mirror.
@Frazzled_Chameleon
@Frazzled_Chameleon Жыл бұрын
@@TangledRivers Nahida is not a reincarnation, she is her own branch of the Irnminsul tree. What we saw was the "memory of Rukkhadevata" left behind. So, it's possible that she would have reincarnated at least once or twice during the 500 years after she died. Cyno looks a LOT like King Deshret as it is. He has the same silver hair, golden eyes, and style of headdress. He's actually the most likely out of the three to be a reincarnation. Candace is a direct descendant of King Deshret. The fact that she has heterochromia is auspicious. People with this condition are thought to have a window into the spiritual world and have mystical powers and abilities. Candace is the strongest protector Aaru Village has ever had. She was super strong already at a young age. If she's not a reincarnation, then there's something else going on with her. I also think Alhaitham fits into this somehow. That's the fun of theories!
