What made it so appealing to him was that he knew he was on the verge of creating something that would help him to become the best wrestler in the world.

Unbelievable wrestler. Definitely the class of the Olympics he was in. Just dominated. If anyone had any chance at all, it sure didn't seem like it. Unfortunately, back then, we couldn't watch every match he was in -in those Olympics or in college without the web/youtube like now.
