Good review! I was thinking about getting a dedicated LED staff, but I got Flowtoy's Sabers with the connection to make them a staff. I can't wait!

Hi Toasty - Just saw this. Thanks for the review, and sorry the flowlights are a challenge! Totally hear you - they were the first LED lights (first rechargeable LED glowstick in the world!) we made almost 15 years ago and we were solving a lot of different problems then (not using disposable watch batteries, no screws for a battery door etc.). We still offer "flowlight"-based staffs, as a lot of people still love the alien fish design and the modularity, but we have since released the capsule and vision lights, which are both usb-rechargeable and have a ton of high tech features. The vision contact staffs also have anti-vibration and diffusion to avoid rattling. Guess it would be more accurate to title the video by the name of the staff (1-piece w/ flowlights) rather than "the flowtoys LED contact staff", as we have so many these days! and the other options solve a lot of the issues. It's been awhile since you posted this, so not sure if you've gotten to enjoy our other staff options, but hope so. We are about to release 18mm carbon fiber shafts, which feel even more amazing :) Wish you all the best.

I feel so heard on the battery challenges! Love flowtoys but definitely agree that the battery door removal / insertion and battery removal are a pain point on my flow lights. At least I discovered that mine do have little clear plastic tabs to help pull the batteries out.

I just wrap my staffs from flowtoys I keep the silicone on to maintain a good weight but I just rewrap it . I have a few vision props, baton contact xl, and contact saber . Love flowtoys props , but there is definitely always room for improvement.

Do you know if there is a way to turn it on/off and change modes without having to take the lights out to get to the button. It’s vry difficult for me to get the silicone end caps off to turn the lights on and off.

What would you say is the best led contact staff for around$200? If you don't mind me asking.. or one that has sound sensitive lights

that crap cost me almost 300$, there's not even 20$ of material in those things, if thats not 10$... you just pay for the name and flowtoys must be laughing as hell.... not only it's worth nothing, but it's badly made, they didnt even put thoughts in their products, mine i just threw in the garbage years ago, was just staying under the bed. _
