Boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Mayweather Promotions Leonard Ellerbe talk to the Wall Street Journal's Lee Hawkins about Mayweather's fight against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, his career, his philosophies on wealth, his pay-per-view deal with Showtime, Bob Arum, and his plans to break into the boxing promotions after he retires from boxing. Among other things, Mayweather tells Hawkins that he may consider fighting Manny Pacquiao if Pacquiao agrees to sign under his Mayweather Promotions company.

Exactly right, what mayweather shows is the true art form that boxing is meant to be i dont see anybody out there that takes their boxing as serious as him, he fights to be great and it shows he talks the talk and walks the walk, humble at heart and is shutting everybody up who doubts him writing his legacy page by page, wow Must be hard being that Great

I'm not italian either, I'm just saying, you should start looking at people not by the color of their skin but look past it. I'm not questioning your knowledge on historical facts but your moral standing on races. The action of a single person or a group of person does not necessarily reflect the total population..Therefore the historical facts you are trying to argue is irrelevant and does not apply to what I have said previously nor related to on how I act today but you however...I'm just saying, try to look past the color of people's skin..

@@bartman9140 He was given an IV, but there was nothing wrong with it. If you think it was to mask PEDs, then you're pretty gullible. He would've knocked Pac the F out or even put him on the canvas a few times at least had he really doped up. But then again, I bet you believe Pac was legitimately injured, too. Excuses, excuses. If I were a Pac fan, I'd been mad af for that fool making millions of people believe he was in tip-top shape and would be bringing the heat to Mayweather. Didn't he say he had a game plan and even had God himself on his side to humble Mayweather? Y'all ate it up and even backed his pathetic excuses to save face. In the end, it was inevitable he would lose. Brawlers like Marquez, Manny, and Maidana just can't do anything against a pure boxer in FMJ.

Funny how Floyd mentions weight doesn't have anything to do with the fight, it's all about skill. But in other interviews he says Pacquaio only beat De La Hoya because he was drained.

i love italian football and have done since i was young and so do lots of other people. i dont know if you watch it any more but its not as ridgid as it yoused to be. if you were as quick as him u would use that to your advantage + hes not a big puncher so hes more effective on the outside. watch the fight again in slow mo and ul see he was in the pocket. boxing is about whatever u want to do legally in the ring. no fighter in the light weights has quick ko's when is the last time u seen it?

floyd is retiring undefeated cause hes his own boss & he can choose his opponents and pay them whatever amount. but then again, anything can happen in the ring wether your getting ppv & revenue money or not. but personally i think hes retiring undefeated. you can do whatever you want within the rules.+he gave more punches. its not his fault he is so fast.floyed isnt as powerfully built as some other fighters so he has to use what he has to his advantage. in out in out thats what i was trained to do. u just want to see a brawl. ur not a boxing fan full stop & its not fighting its the sport of boxing. look thatg up and tell me if floyd acted within the rules. you obviously have a problem with him other than boxing.

you are talking about 2 totally different things. how many quick ko's has even pac had? as i said before in the lighter weights the fights on average last longer. i love his 30 second fights too but im sure ud rathe see a longer fight with him going toe to toe as that what kind of a fighter he was. from what i remember he never been any world class fighters in 30 secs. so ud rather see him blow a not so good fighter away in 30 secs that see a holifield tyson fight?

also you look at any boxing list of top boxers floyd will rank higher than lennox. so yea ur right to you he ranks higher but not to the experts. i didnt finnish what i was saying before. if you are not as powerful as your opponent why would you stand toe to toe? when i used to play fightnight and was fighting a bigger guy u tend to stay on the outside and if ur fighting a smaller built guy ur can get closer maybe you should try boxing so u can see how it works

I am a huge fan of Manny Pacquiao, and i get bored by Floyd's fights. however, I am a big fan of his business model, it is the first of its kind in BOXING. I take my hat off for him, if Pacquiao had the same model, i think he would even be more wealthier than Floyd... this is but my view!!!

if someone tried 2 headbut me id hapily take a cheap shot. but it was within the rules.no experts complained about it.if the ref jumped in its not his fault unles u think his team paid the ref.the experts said it was a good fight and vs alverez as he and the experts say he was in the pocket floyd isnt a in ur face fighter u can only use what ur born with. fighters with longer arems generally fight on the outside and shorter inside. boxing at lighter weights has less ko's look at the ko records.

Sadly he is, he should have stayed in the Amateurs. Floyd is only interesting OUTSIDE the ring..inside the ring Floyd is boring, all Defense and he is constantly running away from his opponents..and the first chance he gets he throws Cheap Shots, prideless coward. Floyd should have fought PacMan between 2007-2010 and Prince Nas back in the late 1990s along with Barrera and Morales but instead he dodged them all amongst many more great boxers.

What if he loses? This is all based on him being undefeated. Yeah hes a gambler but hes not gonna gamble this against Pacqaio. It would be like dying if he lost to Pacquaio. This fight should have taken place 3 years ago and Mayweather is making a fortune by not fighting him.
