Jewelry seems like such a scam to me because when you have the materials for it, they are worth very little and then they turn it into something and tell you it’s worth a lot and then once you have it, it’s only worth something to you, because if you try to take it somewhere else, they’re going to super lowball you for it because the meltdown price of the materials is not actually all that high but then, if the jeweler gets his hands on it again, they can again sell it to someone else for a very high price

I learned about it when I was trying to buy an engagement ring Recently. jewelry is very similar to clothing. The price is based on who makes it not what it’s actually worth and I think people don’t think about it that way. a VeraWang ring and a Walmart ring can look the exact same made from the same material, one’s gonna cost you 5000 the other can cost you 500. just like how a Jordan shoe and a Walmart shoe can both cost 20 bucks to make but one is gonna run you 250 the other can run you 25

After Mayweather buys it and is the first owner of the watch, it will always have his name attached to it bringing the value of the watch to more than $20 million. Investing at its finest.
