I have a 7.1 system comprised of the Fluance Signature series. I have the center channel, my front L + R and side surrounds are the bookshelves, and my rear surrounds are the bipolars. I use the Yamaha Aventage RX-1060A as my processor because I am using external power. I power the front stage with a Emotiva A-500, the side surrounds are on a Emotiva A-300, and the rear surrounds are also on a Emotiva A-300. My subs are the BIC Acoustech PL-200II (three of them) connected wirelessly using the BIC WTR-SYS Since I am a neophyte in the home theater realm and this being my first set up, I haven't owned anything else to compare the Fluance Signature Series to. I am pleased thus far with my current set up. I put my system together based on things i saw on your channel and others here on KZfaq, and based on my budget.... I do intend to upgrade to better speakers, amps, etc... in the future, but for now this set up works just fine for me. i feel that the Fluance Signature Series is a very good "bang for your buck" I don't think that my system is too shabby for a beginner system in the home theater hobby. Thanks Kpaceguy.

I would love to see a new Fluance flagship. It's 2023 and they can do something amazing if they try.

I agree. I’ve had the reference towers since 2010 or 2011. As I’ve upgraded the receivers over the years, the better they’ve produced sound. Being able to push them down at 4ohms they really come alive. Nice follow up.

You are so spot on with this. About six months ago I bought a brand new pair of Polk Audio Signature Elite ES-60 speakers for $850 out the door (they had one of their well-known sales going on). They sound simply amazing, ESPECIALLY for the price, and they've won all sorts of awards. You wouldn't think that contemporary speaker technology could continue to advance at the pace it has over the past 10 or so years, but it certainly has. For reference, I own a pair JBL S-312 speakers from the early 2000s, superb and highly respected speakers during their time, and these Polks can do everything that the JBLs can do, go as deep in the bass if not deeper, and do it with more clarity. These Polks are a massive bargain, even at their list price of $1,100 per pair...and no, I don't work for the company. 😉😉

I have the bookshelf version and while the sound they made was full of flavor out of the box, I needed to crank the volume up significantly compared to the neutral sounding SVS Ultra bookshelf's.

@@Kpaceguy Interestingly enough, this Fluance actually looks a good deal like the JBL Studio line. Similar profile at the top of the speaker, where it's partly flat until it angles down into the back of the speaker.

Over here in Australia these speakers retail for $4648.00 and have been reduced from $7682.00 a pair. Wow.😮😮 I am gunna have to think about moving😊. They look like a fantastic speaker. Maybe need plenty of power to drive them as your speakers are your load.

I agree with your review. Fluance speakers have good looks & build quality, reasonable prices & hardware, but ok sounds. I’d rather have amazing sound over all others. I tried to modernize my setup by upgrading my old Allison Acoustics (no longer in business), and it was a severe downgrade. I ended up getting Allisons on eBay & the magic is back!!!

These types of speakers in this price range are common. But after hearing more refined speakers, hearing what you've been missing, you can't go back. Because you realize just how limited these speakers are. It's called growth

I remember when the speakers first came out and I thought paying $1000 for a pair of speakers seemed like way too much. Of course back then the most expensive pair speakers I ever bought was the Fluance SX6 at $140 a pair.

Thx for the honest opinion & review. But I didn't hear your comparison or comments to the Reference Towers vs these. I know you recently reviewed those as well. I have the Reference Bi-polar surrounds. They are good for what they are designed for. Reference might just be the better line....

And if they send you a package I would love the hear your thought on using their (or any company speakers actually) bookshelf speaker as a center as opposed to the horizontal center for better dispersion and coherency! As I'm sure you know professional theaters don't use horizontal center speakers because they can hide them BEHIND the screen
