Myself and two other Sargent’s from twenty nine palms back in 84 tested the up gunned turrets from FMC for 9 weeks. Really cool TDY and had unlimited ammo.

Americans do hold the record for the world's largest and longest genocide against American indigenous peoples though... Russian winters beat Hitler and not America. Plus Pearl Harbour and 911 happened because your own warmongering blew up in your face. America can't measure, spell, or count properly, or tell red from blue, can't even follow international law or the Geneva Convention, or even it's own Constitution (amendment 14 section 3 for example...), and America have the world's highest national debt, domestic terrorism, violent crime, prison population, and suicide rate - it must be all the "freedom" Americans enjoy!! I want to see tires hold up against reefs or difficult landing operations. There is a reason amphibious assault stayed tracked for so many years. The AAVSU or the EFV is still a better viable option.

Didn’t the Marine Corps or DoD do away with the EFV program several years ago? It seems as if they decided to bring the program back. This new vehicle seems to be wheeled instead of tracked like the EFV.

It’s a really weird and disconcerting feeling when the AAV leaves the well deck off the ramp. Done it several times as a grunt as a passenger in the back. Diesel stench with dripping water makes you wish to get back in terra firma asap.

The Assault Amphibious Vehicle first came in-service in the early seventies and has been constantly upgraded, the last attempt to replace them was cancelled.

Not an improvement as far as water and land speed. Only more anti mine or red protection is good. The recent cancelled AAAV was a huge improvement that they dropped and all they had to do is over come some mechanical issues that always happen with ne vehicles. Its speed was over 20 knots in the water.

Amazing technology😳, awe-inspiring weapons🤯, gob-smacking footage😲 I've not seen anywhere else...& rather dry🤓, droning🥸, often repetitive😴 & surprisingly uninformative narration.😐 Seems like the scripts play a distant second-fiddle to the truly striking & eye-opening footage, or that they just aren't really all that well coordinated. Items are often poorly described, insufficiently & even poorly explained; & the context of their use, purposes, & interoperability either presuppose prior miltary knowledge & experience or the narrators are as confused about WTF they're describing & talking about as the seeming-bimbo who narrates with all the pizzazz of a Weather person or someone tasked with reading a phone book...😑 I subscribed anyway, but next time I'm bringing a cup of coffee to my viewing session!🥱
