hypokalemia. something i am VERY familiar with since last november when i was taken to hospital via ambulance almost completely paralyzed. bloodwork showed that my level was 1.7. very scary experience! the internal med docs are still not quite sure what caused it and i've had about 5 more episodes of low potassium since. very informative video, thanks!

Kalemia's do the same as the prefix except for Heart Rate and Urine Output.. I got that from a review course and it seemed to really help me to remember S/S. :)

Hey! I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your videos.I wanted to comment, especially on the physical assessment video, but it wouldn’t allow comments to be left for some reason. Anyways, I love how you describe things and I think maybe I relate to your southern accent too haha! I’m now on my 3rd video made by you and I feel like I’ve taken away something from each of them. I just took my first medsurg exam today and i was super nervous about it because im taking an online accelerated program and i felt like the lectures my professors posted had soo much information and there were sooo many slides, it was overwhelming to teach myself. So i watched your HF, DKA, HHNS, hyper and hypoglycemia and all your electrolyte videos instead and i felt so prepared!. I double checked my review and everything on my review you covered in your lecture videos. I made an A on my first exam! i wrote down ALL the memory hooks right when i walked in and was able to recall all of it. I got every question about the peak and duration of the insulins right, and all of the HF and electrolye imbalance symptom questions right. You do such a great job explaining exactly what you need to know and in a way that is easy to remember without rambling. I feel like I REALLY learned the material. I have subscribed and will definitely be referencing your channel for each new topic I have to learn. Thanks for making such helpful videos! -Tamra
