Instead of replacing the bushings? Im no mechanic, but i would like to know why its more cost effective to replace the control arm than just to replace the bushings themselves. Just curious

If bushings are even available, they’d probably be at least half the cost of the replacement part. And there’s still the balljoint on the other end which may not be replaceable at all. With labor it might not be cheaper to swap the bushing vs the whole arm, and even if it is, there’s a chance it would be back next year because of the balljoint.
