while i was backpacking through Australia in 2013 i sneaked in a Flume concert in Brisbane without knowing who he was or what kind of music it would be. And i can say that for the first half of the concert i was so blown away that i had to let it sink in first. Then Chad faker {did not know him either) came to stage, i was like, wow this is something special. And after the remix with BIG right about in the middle of the concert i was like jumping up and down until the end! 2013 was the right year to be introduced to this music & flume. First half of that decade was mesmerzing in this genre, future classic, bass, dubstep, house. Nothing can compare to those memories; the late night hours at house parties, after hour shows, sneaking into festivals. Oh mann! What id do to relive that era, didnt even need to be 21 live that extraordinarily!
@blakehorn38788 жыл бұрын
I don't know about you guys but the first time I saw Flume live I didn't even fucking move. I was awestruck and mesmerized. Obviously I was bobbing my head with the music but I wasn't dancing cause I literally couldn't move. His set blew me away and was close to the best thing I've seen in my life. Now I'm dancing my balls off because everyone else is. Back then he wasn't really big and he was more of a chill artist.

I wouldn't mind a little crowd like this if I was mixing mellow. People are hard to please unless you are going 100 even then it's not about the music sucking or them not having a good time. It's their inhibitions getting the best of them. Others are worried about what others think rather than fully indulging in the experience. This is a great set. I always thought it would be interesting to spin some mellow blues, swing, lounge and experimental stuff at a coffee shop during the day lol. No one would feel obligated to dance and the older folks might appreciate some old jam.
@freeleaffilms10 жыл бұрын
I also just realized that this is in London, and he's an Aussie boy. Maybe they haven't heard of this champ yet just like in the US. People will catch on like David Lynch's work, it just takes some time for the general populace to realize what is good in life, and it's not what you see on tv and in the media. Find yourself.

What city/club/place are you at that people genuinely enjoy this type of music, mellow or not? People just seem to like the mainstream stuff they hear on the radio in most places. What I would do to find myself in a crowded room with an amazing artist such as Flume these days...

It's hard to fathom that someone is just like everyone else when they've spent many many hours getting so good at something.. It's weird but, Flume seems like the most down to earth guy, yet i'd be in shock if i met him because he's so talented

Honestly hands down best video i've ever seen and heard from Flume. If Flume was inspired by J.Dilla and Flying Lotus, then Flume is now my top inspiration. :D Flume ftw.

So funny that Flume basically founded future bass and Porter revived DDR style music. Your comment still rings true!

This whole set is why Boiler Room started, to showcase up-and-coming producers and DJs to the world. You can see this in the crowd, they start off unsure and by the end, everyone is dancing

En ese momento nadie pensaría que se convertiría en la leyenda que es Flume 10 años después, gracias a la vida por permitirme verlo en vivo en Mexico este año, de los conciertos de mi vida
