By specifying age we are basically making a general estimate of the finger sizes and physical strength for holding and air blowing (though it depends on the practice of the student and exceptions will be there) But if we start learning as per the age wise classification we made for the beginner flute scales , the comfort of playing and ease in learning flute has been experienced by many beginner students Please note this is not a fixed rule of correlation of age and scales , but just a healthy practice and recommendation from our side based on our experience of teaching students from all age groups
