I love the fluval evo … recently tore mine down but will be setting it up again soon . I also have the fluval flex 123 .. will be watching all the updates ( i would suggest always having spare water just in case of emergencies seeing as you are not making your own

Congrats on the new tank! I just set up my Evo13.5 in January and it's already thriving with a little clean-up crew (hermit crabs, trochus snails, peppermint shrimp, emerald crab, tuxedo urchin, nassarius snails), some easy corals (zoas, mushrooms, montis, leather), and a neon blue goby. Should be time for my pair of ocellaris clowns soon ☺ looking forward to seeing yours evolve as well - so cool how every tank ends up unique, even when beginning with the same base!

Well, congrats to you, too! Are you pleased with the trochus and nassarius? They are on my list, but getting someones experience with things sure helps. Your stock list and schedule sounds awesome! Keep me posted on your progress. Standard Ocellaris or designer? I am hoping to go with one common and one frostbite eventually. Thanks for watching. There's more to come. @@justlearningfish thanks, it's been a really great project so far! 😄 Definitely loving both kinds of snails too. The trochus snails are great at cleaning algae off the glass, and I like not having to worry about them falling, since they're able to flip themselves back over. Nassarius snails mostly just stay buried in the sand digging with only their snorkels sticking out until they detect food, it's pretty cool watching them suddenly emerge to eat. And I've got a mocha and a common ocellaris set aside at an LFS for now (I'm lucky enough to also work there, definitely has its perks) to quarantine and bond for a bit before I bring them home! Common and frostbite is also a lovely pairing, and I'm looking forward to your future vids for sure, it's always fun to see how others tackle different aspects of the hobby - seems like you're off to a wonderful start as well!

Whats hole in the tank for?

Its just there in case the water level drops below the return to chamber 1 so water can still get to the pump and heater to prevent burnout. A lot of people plug it to create better flow to the heater. InTank sells a plug for it. Im leaving mine open for now but may plug it in the future. Eventually i want to get a media box for chamber 1 and use chamber 2 as a refugium. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching.
