I think going with machined aluminum instead of injection molding is going to help them a great deal...lot more good CNC mills out there than injection molding facilities and they don't have to worry about molds prototyping, molds wearing out, etc. And since the P365 is a lot smaller slide and internals than the P320, the extra weight of the alloy won't be a major concern. TL;DR: I bet they're not going to be as supplier constrained as before, can even bring most of the work in-house.

@@Croak1 Molds have a longer spin up time yes, but once they are up and running they it is much much faster to produce the product. Molds last a very long time if they are correctly made and maintained, so the end product ends up being cheaper. I suspect the p365 version went with aluminum because of the interface with the frame and the brace. Plastic would be less rigid.

YEAH dude for real ! I've been on a notify list for nearly 3 years for the p320 Flux. I went and ordered a Strike industry Bravo grip module and put a A3 tactical folding brace on it. I like some of the features of the FLUX better , but I was out of patience

I agree. I own both a 320 and 2x 365's... i passed on the chassis-things for the 320, but i will absolutely convert one of my 365's. (One is in an xl chassis,, one is using 10rd for max concealability)

Imma let you in on a little firearms industry secret. Use the backorder option. Order it anyway and wait. When it comes in stock they will ship it and you will actually get one. Because it looks awesome? Who cares how it looks, how effective is much more important. So many tool-bags purchase firearms to be tact-i-cool. If someone is going to get something like that, why not get an AR pistol that is going to be way better of the same dimensions with a crap ton more range? An AR-15 / AR-20 or AR-10 / AR-12 etc. all using the same lower chassis w/ the simple swap of an upper. Anyone using an AR in 5.56. 7.62 or shotgun has a huge advantage over someone using a natural pistol caliber. EDIT: When I said, "Or" I meant that you cannot use the same lower chassis for all calibers. Example: You obviously cannot shoot 12 ga using an AR-15 lower because it will not accept the magazine size required to fit 12. gauge rounds.

A small concealable PDW that runs on the same mags as my CCW that can quickly be deployed, stowed while retaining the backpack's ability to be a backpack that is usable, and doesn't out us as some sort of gun chud is extremely valuable to some of us. Also the idea that this and an AR15 pistol have the same dimensions isn't even laughable because it's so moronic. My Macro is the smaller than my AR lower

I am definitely a believer in the KISS method so I totally see where you're coming from. I think this makes sense if it's a shoot no shoot and you are having to scan and zoom in without coming off the gun or break your shooting posture (either both hands on the gun). In that application this would be great, or in a "sniper" scenario where you want to move as little as possible to not give away you position.

I find a 10x pair of binos to be better served in most cases, but I guess in a shoot no shoot were split seconds matter waiting for the motor to wirl in and out again might be good? I don't know if id want to be a sniper with any LPVO, or if I had one would want one thats batteries could run out after sitting still for dozens of hours? The tech is cool AF, sci and disco all at once, but it seems rather gimmicky?

I edc a G17 so I feel your pain on this. But I think the issues is that sig uses an FCU that is removable, making it easier to make the Raider system work with it. When/if glock converts to this system, it might never happen 🥲

I wouldn't be much of a fan of Bluetooth only because it's signal dependant and could be more easily interfered with. There are plenty of good wire management systems out there that should make this less of a pain point

@@ARFCOMNews I've used plenty of those systems. Out in the woods, it's just one more than to get caught up/hung up. Why would the signal be interfered when it would literally be on your firearm to your scope? You talking about some sort of jammer? In that case, you can always adjust manually.

I think the size requirements made it to where polymer would allow for too much flex. A polymer solution will likely happen from someone but will definitely require a larger footprint overall.
