One thing is the content that you provide us which is very useful. Another great aspect that I like about you vids is how you do it. In my view you are doing it in a very down to earth, natural, alive, easy to understand and sometimes funny way. That is owesome. Many thanks for what you are doing!

2:42 "...just like you're hammering a nail..." That's what I was taught. You can't hammer well with only a wrist break and you can't hammer effectively without a wrist break. I find the timing is similar, also.

Nice! I found this wrist flick is very important for tight loops. I did it by accident a while ago but stopped after reading a lot on casting saying dont break the wrist. Ive changed to a more fixed elbow moving the rod roughly the 90 degrees with a wrist flick and its effortless to throw good loops over an okay distance of 60 odd feet.compared to the elbow sliding back and forth. Took much more effort for me. Maybe i did it wrong. Probably. Thanks for your videos.

To prevent you from breaking your wrist, you can place the butt of your rod into the cuff of your shirt. It works as well as the two mentioned props.

After watching for a few minutes I noticed in the repetition I could see a secondary "jerk" in the wrist as the line went from front to back (or backward). It made me wonder where relaxation comes into the picture, as I took it from that that you let the rod do the work and the wrist is just holding, and the work is in the elbow until the end when you relax the wrist and let the line drop on the water. Please make as much sense out of this as you can.
