By leapfrogging and sampling several reaches of stream, close to 100 miles of stream was covered in eight days. Many other miles are completely de-watered due to irrigation - but large springs bring it back. The bigger Brown trout were on the redds up and down the full length so the pools were fished while staying away from the gravel sections. Just watching the Browns finning above the gravel was a pleasure though. The pace of the gravel bike is a perfect way to scout and easy to hop on and off at the beaver dams and pools.
