Just subscribed as impressed with this wing style and your video. I will give it a try when appropriate down-under in NZ. We do not have this Danica but I can use your technique. Thanks.

My pleasure John and thank you for your kind words. With this technique you can imitate any mayfly and not at least it float very well and the trouts like them a lot. Hop you will get a lot of rod bending this year!

Nice tie! Should float well... CDC everywhere!

I really like this evolution of the upright cdc wing compared to the last one. Seems a lot floatier and holds the shape better. I think this, parachutes and missing links are going to be my go to mayflies this year. Nice work.

Mercers missing link is one hard fly to beat!! Saved the day for me several times with picky fish. cheers

REALITYobservationalist fun to tie too... once you get the hang of it at least lol

@@icksterbooth Yes I would agree! But there is a steep learning curve on that one. The whole part spent, part dun, part emerger concept is definitely pretty cool. I've been meaning to tie Kelly Galloup's "found link" too.

Nice tie Henrik, thank you for sharing it with us. Not trying to question the pattern, but I would cut the bottom fibers out so it sits flat on the surface. Come over to our channel, I do some ties as well and fly fishing in UK

Hey! Really nice fly! Is it not rather an ermerging danica by its straggling abdominal section?

Wow very nice

Hey Henrik when you fish this fly what do you apply for floatant and how long can you fish it before you need to change flies?
