Hell, it isn't even a noble phantasm - if it was,, I suspect it would be much weaker just because of the limitations inherent to Heroic Spirits. This is the original copy of something which was already a transcendent miracle during the height of the Age of Gods, an artifact so powerful that it remained functional into the modern era with zero effort put into its preservation. It was buried under a church. Rhongomyniad, by contrast, *also* one of the most powerful objects on the planet, requires a powerful and complex mystic code to keep itself from losing its mystery and Excalibur's on the reverse side for its own sake.

Also a little nitpick, Arthurian Myth wasn't the height of Age of God's. If anything, it was the twilight of Age of God's. The only place were AOG persisted longer was Japan.

@GuardianSoulBlade To some degree sure, but... In Fate/Zero, yeah, he was nasty to Saber, but he was quite civil, even friendly with Rider(Iskandar). Saber to him was at best, an amusing toy; he was bent on crushing her dreams and will simply because her power, ideals, and defiance amused him. Here, in his final moments, he seems to be almost redeemable, acknowledging that Saber's determination (and subsequent attainability) was what made her so beautiful. His UBW self is... very different. He is capable of planning and rational thought, manipulating Kirei Kotomine (Fubuki Cities resident sadistic psychopath) into doing his bidding, and admitting when someone was stronger than him (he admitted his defeat to Shirou at the end of UBW), but it was rubbed in the face that he had a God level entitlement/megalomania complex.

It’s really good dude, it gets hate because it’s not pretty like UFO adaptations lol also because it’s mashed everything into one but hey who can blame them they only had so much episodes to work with lol. If UFO couldn’t adapt heavens feel to a T with 3 movies how you expect DEEN to do the same with only so many episodes lol

i think the issue personally is that the conversations flow really weird with the scenes, the direction and what they choose to try and show is off putting at times, and the tone of certain scenes dont work at all imo. I think also they were too ambitious with what they tried to pull in, trying to cram heaven's feel and UBW content in with the fate route left less time to explore shirou and saber's relationship. Cutting that stuff would have given more time to build up to saber and shirou's opinions of one another, even without adapting 90+ hours of vn That one scene with shirou and saber training in the dojo with the dramatic pan view of a single frame of saber looking stoically is an example btw, and another scene in the boundary field where shirou and saber start running and it looks really silly. It's not an animation or art style thing, it's more a flawed direction.

It was suppose to resemble stereotypical shows like Shakugana no Shana or Kaze no Stigmata.... so that other routes will deconstruction them. DEEN Fate/stay night looking like 90s or early 2000s worked perfectly in emphasising main point of FATE route.

@@patrickplayz8370 In Fate Route she has Avalon only in the last fight aginst Gilgamesh, reason why she manages to defeat him, because Avalon is fucking broken and more than makes up for her lowered stats and limited mana (that is only a sample of what Artoria's real power should be), but for the rest of the route she's quite weakened, both for the absence of Avalon and Shirou being her Master, and same goes for half of UBW fight with Kozuki included. The Anime doesn't show it well at all so it's not clear but Medea was using her magecraft to greatly enhance his abilities, this combined with Artoria's weakened state, Kozuki's already superhuman strenght and the surprise effect resulted in her loss. Archer toyed with him only because he was aware of his strenght and most importantly Medea wasn't there to support him. UBW is actually the route in wich Saber is at her strongest in terms of stats once Rin becomes her Master.

You also feel it right!? That moment was so touching, seeing that Avalon is what keeps them together and also the place where they reunite. It's like they were touching a treasure that they both value because it's what allowed them to meet each other and find their happiness.

In the Visual Novel, as soon as Shirou used Avalon and broke free from the mud, he was launched at top speed toward Kotomine giving him no time to react.

Shirou dies. He reach Avalon after he dies. But yes, on this fight, Shirou is invincible. And all the damage of the fight was healed by Avalon. By the pass of the years, the image of Avalon dissapears from Shirou's brain, so, he cannot project it again.

Oh Shirou good lord. He can trace weapons to rival lower rank servants and inside unlimited blade works is basically gilgamesh. Kerei is abnormally strong by human standards but isn't much compared to servants.
