Holy crap, I got myself confused with all the names. I had this video miss titled "Apex 3 Review" for the first hour and a half up but I changed it to "Vader 3" which this controller is. The vader 3 is still not supported on rewasd. other flydigi controllers are, but not this one yet.

19:55 I think if you see a perfect resting value of 0.00002, that means there's a internal deadzone, I tested this with my gamesir t4 kaleid, and since it defaults to 5% deadzone, it's the same 0.00002, but after I downloaded the app and manually set it to 0 deadzone, the right stick resting value is often 3% to even 6% simply because the spring is not very tight in the middle, PLEASE check the default deadzone before you do the thumbstick resting value test !!!

Very happy you reviewed the Vader 3! It's been my main since it first released (Bought on TEMU). I use PS4/PS5 Kontrol Freeks on it as well. Very satisfying buttons, especially the D-pad for fighting games.

This is a great review, thank you! I'm thinking either the GameSir G7 SE or the Vader 3 Pro given both use the Hall Effect sensors. The 3 Pro is tempting due to the mechanical switches on the buttons, the extra 2 back buttons (even if they are a bit ergonomically uncomfortable) and the trigger locks. To soothe your concerns about the gamepad needing 800ma and the charger outputting 1000ma, the 1000ma spec is just what the charger is capable of outputting. The gamepad will only draw the 800ma that it needs and no more. Voltage is a bit more important to get a close match on. Once again thank you and have an awesome day! also mAh and mA aren't the same thing. 1,000ma current being used to charge a 800mah battery isn't impossible (though it is unlikely the controller is actually doing that). Some Samsung phones for example can accept 5,000mA when charging, despite having batteries smaller than 5000mAh.

The main trick with FlyDigi controllers is using reWASD to remap them instead of the company's software.

@@GamerHeavenOfficial (Base on vader 2) ReWASD able to bind each button as individual button including all extra button. The only controller that have this feat is Xbox elite. So for the people who cant afford xbox elite, this is the best alternative.

I play fighting games on pad with analog and the Vader 3 pro is one of the good ones. No snapback, high polling rate and the joysticks feel amazing. Pretty much just hoping it lasts a while

In my opinion the vader 3 pro is the best switch/x-input controller ever made. They also use rumble triggers not adaptive triggers. The triggers are designed for games like forza.

Thanks for reviewing this controller I was the first batch to receive the vader 3 Pro controller from them Overall, the Vader 3 Pro is quite good imo, a little bit of extra information tho Vader 3 Pro uses the same trigger vibrations as the Xbox One and Series, not the PS one, so there are only trigger vibration, no actual adaptive triggers (it only works under bluetooth mode as well) Vader 3 Pro actually comes with controller bag, for the people who pre-ordered, there are also some stick caps, overall, kinda a disappointment that they don't give any accessories for people buying it now The 2.4ghz adapter uses proprietary flysync technology to achieve 500hz polling rate wirelessly, which means if you lose the 2.4 ghz adapter, you are screwed Lastly, the software is much improved... as a first batcher... my experience was awful as f, that thing crashed on me like 20 times, it was either in the state of crashing or about to crash, you actually have an easier time here... since it seems like the newer software actually works (well barely, it's still a piece of crap regardless) Anyways, great review, always happy to hear your opinions regarding controller stuffs

How much off the Axis do you consider it "drift"? I just bought an elite series 2 and I can get the left stick to anywhere from 0.045 to 0.09 just from the tension tolerance. Meanwhile, I have an OG Switch Pro that is literally measuring 0.00000 (after 6.5 years) which I have yet to see in your videos that I've been able to watch.

The payment to get ReWASD intergration is it cant bind the key on the go. Thats why its mainly a PC controller with ability to be Switch controller. You need to be insane to buy this controller mainly for the switch.

It's for sure mainly pc and smartphone gamepad. They have their own mobile app for attaching onscreen keys to gamepad buttons. And you can update, configure everything there as well. But because of the triggers it's also okay choice for the switch.

flydigi's english site is so far behind. you can click the Chinese flag on the upper right and you will see all the current controllers there. the Vader 3 Pro is called the "Hichi Black Samurai 3" and the Apex 3 is called the "Flying Octopus 3" which is kinda hilarious. FYI i noticed this video title is "vader 3 pro" but it's just the vader 3. anyhow, love your videos. keep up the good work. it would be great to see you and vcuda collab on something!

@@GamerHeavenOfficial by that logic though the video you posted yesterday should be called "Rog Raikiri Pro Pro Controller Review". You need some separation between the product name and "pro controller review" to make this clear. Product names ending in "pro" is not uncommon and you've uploaded two controller reviews in a row which highlight this issue. Everyone searching for Vader 3 Pro reviews will think this video is for that controller. What will you title the actually Vader 3 pro review, or a ROG Raikiri (non-pro) review? It's kind of ironic that in the title you say these controllers confuse gamers, while you're title itself actively confuses gamers. Please take this as constructive feedback and adjust you're title naming scheme. Simply doing "FlyDigi Vader 3 - Pro Controller Review" and "Rog Raikiri Pro - Pro Controller Review" or just dropping the "pro" from your title would make things much more clear. Besides, your regular viewers already know everything you review is mainly a "pro" controller, and people who are searching for a review about a specific controller likely already know the controller has some "pro" features, the pro controller description doesn't add anything for them and in this case makes people looking for a Vader 3 review not click on it and people looking for a 3 pro review dislike the video.

One thing to consider, maybe the device is faulty. I had an issue with a micrometer that I bought on Amazon where the same gap would read quarter to a half millimeter off each time I measured it.

Yes lol. This review is the Vader 3 which is the same as the Vader 3 pro but with regular thumbsticks not hall effect magnetic, and different triggers.

the use case for rebinding isn't very niche and people aren't binding the rear buttons to OBS, or face buttons but keyboard controls or combos or using them to change action sets in steam input so many uses having 6 extra buttons to remap is a game changer.

I love the Vader 2 (+Pro, still not sure what the difference is and I have both), but the Vader 3 Pro introduced a significantly worse D-Pad and removed one of the extra buttons near the Guide button which is a bummer as someone who uses reWASD to get all the buttons I can Edit: There is a Flydigi mobile app as well, so a PC/Mac isn't quite required (though not sure if the feature set is the same) For a PC gamer, the Vader 2/3 Pro is probably one of, if not the best controller with pro features that you can get (since MS can't make a controller that doesn't have issues and the DS Edge lasts a nice 20 minutes)

Vader 2 is older gen, no hall effect sticks - subject to stick drift. Dpad is also older gen, not as good as Vader 3 Pro for fighting games since diagonals are not accurate. Also, no trigger locks.

I think the only difference between the Vader 2 and Vader 2 pro is Switch support.

Because i heard a lot of complaints of the g7 and other controlers dpad that uses switches, people saying that they are not good for fighting games, and, personaly for me, gamepads only are useful for racing and fighting games, and if a controller is not good for one of them, i think that don't worth it.

aah yeah now i see the bit you did. But the controller you reviewing is named Vader 3 isn't it? I don't think they have Apex 3 (non pro) in their line up, they only have Apex 3 Pro on their chinese website. They only update their chinese website pretty much, not their english one. One thing you miss is that the Vader 3 Pro comes with hall sticks not alps sticks. But the sticks structure rigidities not great, i have seen some ppl leaves reviews saying the sticks becomes loose after 2-3 weeks of use.

mAH is a unit for quantity of charge, its measured at certain level of voltage. Different techs of batteries are not comparable, for example a nimH batterie, aka rechargeable xbox batteries, or 1000 mAh works at 1.2 V thats, 1200 mWh or 1,2 Wh, dualsense are 1000 mAh but lithium batteries at 3.7 V, 3700 mWh or 3,7 Wh. Thrice capacity

@@GamerHeavenOfficial all controllers, and many other consumer electronics, advertise mAh I guess because some marketing team decided bigger number = better and it became the standard, but when comparing capacity mWh is the meaningful number. mAh is only half the equation and can only be used for comparison if the voltages of the batteries is also the same. For example, the official Apple Magsafe powerbank got a ton of negative media buzz when it released because it was "only" 1400mAh, because they were ignoring that the voltage of the battery setup was double that of an iPhone or most other powerbanks it was being compared to. When you equalize the voltages the Apple battery was equivalent to 2800mAh.

Nice to see you finally doing Flydigi. They are by far the best controllers, especially with reWASD support. As of right now, the Apex 2 and Apex 3 are the best controllers depending on what kind of game you are playing, but once the Vader 3 Pro gets reWASD support, it will be right up there with the others.

@@prosto_ivan8353 The main benefit to reWASD is it lets you use every button as unique buttons. The extra 6 or so buttons you get with Flydigi controllers can be used as unique buttons thanks to reWASD. Normally, extra buttons like that are limited to duplicates of the main buttons, which is really stupid and pretty much defeats the whole point of having extra buttons.

Yes i can but just to save your time. Overall I would take the elite 2. The reliability is a worse, and the warranty is a year not "lifetime" (on most parts) but the overall user experience with that controller has been so good to me over the years

Nah, After ~30h playing. It getting worsen with center problem. At first, the deadzoen was 3-4%, now it increased to 6-7% to keep it in center. If not, you will get stick drift

@@vaudou_Rewasd does not support the latest vader and vader 3 pro yet. Flydigi did not send enough technical details to rewasd for them to get support going. I own and apex 2 second hand, and i updated it to the latest software. This pad is supported by rewasd, and you can fully remap the back buttons to unique inputs. So you are not limited to copies of existing buttons ont he pad. I asked flydigi why they have not send the needed info to rewasd, but they only seem to deflect my question, instead of answering it, The gyro on the flydigi apex 2 iis not as good as on the dualsense. But the vader 3 and vader 3 pro are a bit better. The vader 3 and pro both support switch, but the gyro is to sensitive. I used boomerang x as a test. This game uses the natural sensitivity scale for the gyro. Wich means that a setting of 1 should translate 360 of controller turn to 360 ingame. But when i test it on this setting the controller turns 45 degrees more then 360. Botht the vader 3 and the vader 3 have the exact same gyro sensitivity on switch. This is likely a software problem. I have used the vader 3 on pc in switch mode for rewasd. The back buttons can not be remapped because of the lack of support. For the back buttons to work you need to make a switch profile with their software. Then remap the back buttons (So you are stuck with copies of already existing buttons). on rewasd you can remap everything else like a normal switch pro controller. Although i do not know if the gyro sensitvity is to high compred to using a official pro controller on pc. I would have to use the same convig i made for this controller and switch to the pro to check if the sensitivity is the same. The mechanical switches on the vader 3 and pro are great, aswell as the trigger stops for the mechanical mouse click triggers.

I got the Vader 3 pro, and it works great, just not via the 2.4 ghz dongle, which disconnects if I move more than 10 ft from my desk. I have a replacement on the way from Amazon, but I'm worried the replacement will have the same issue. Has anyone had this issue?

I contacted Amazon and went through their standard return/replacement/refund process. So as long as I send in the first controller, the replacement will be free through Amazon. (I have prime btw). Well, i dont know if you have already tried the pro version, but i do have the one piece version at home (because why not), which is the pro version and for hall effect, they arn't great, circularity still only get's to a 9-10% and researching this topic this seems to be the general experience with the vader 3 pro. Still the most amazing controller I personally ever owned, for my specific usecase, anyway great video, as always. :D

Flydigi is great controller with major flaw. For some reason the back buttons lag and cut if you play pvp p2p. If enemy lag the back buttons lag. I was the elden ring tournament player. Ordered both apex 2x and vader. The UI is amazng, buttons feel great in apex 2. Everything is perfect. And than if you enter lag your back button sprint start rolling or doing random shit
