Also, I most definitely did NOT spend that much on this flight.
I’m spending the next 2 months traveling throughout Asia, living the life if a digital nomad. I’ll be riding motorbikes, traveling through jungles, visiting megacities, learning to scuba dive, sailing, and so much more.

As a kid growing up in Seattle, Washington, I dreamed of adventuring like Indiana Jones. In fact, I wore out my Raiders of the Lost Ark VHS. My Junior year of college I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy for a full school year. During that time I went all over Europe and Northern Africa… I had officially caught the travel bug. I did it domestically LAX has a seperate TSA for delta one and that in of itself was worth it.

That would be totally worth it! I don’t think there was a separate TSA in Seattle, but maybe I missed it.

Nice blog... and fun to watch. Must have been a huge comedown to go from heaven to coach! Lucky you to be upfront over the Pacific... do enjoy SE Asia and we'll be following your adventures! You may want to consider taking some other SkyTeam partners such as Vietnam Airlines in the future.

@@spence.t we’re going to be all over the country. We plan on staying in Seoul for a week, then other areas to see the family. My wife goes back almost every year. This will be my first time back since 2003.

How much was it for the seat?

Round trip total was under $3K. I upgraded after buying my original seat and it was significantly less than the original $6.5K price tag!

How was your round trip total under $3k if the one way is like 5K?

ERROR This was not a First Class but an international business class product. Delta Airline does not offer an international transpacific first class service. Not sure if any US carrier provides a first class option to Seoul, but it is available on Korean Air.
