To celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary, Lovan booked an Emirates first class flight from Toronto to Dubai and from there all the way over to Nairobi, Kenya! This was an unforgettable flight experience on my bucket list and our first trip to the Motherland!

I used 163k Emirates miles transferred over from Chase Ultimate Rewards along with about $1100 in taxes and fees pp. Not a bad deal when the usual cost of this itinerary is upwards of $10k+ pp.

not a major difference between 1st and business class for the money you paid..what do you think?

Hmmm I think it was worth the upcharge, the difference in hard product is very distinct. First class service and catering on board is much better as well. But the icing on the cake is being able to shower on the a380.
