Ryanair is by far Europe's Most FAMOUS Budget Airline and it's CEO Michael Oleary is one of the most well known and respected people in the Aviation industry, so when he called the airlines new Boeing 737 MAX's a "Gamechanger", it got me thinking... are they really as big an improvement from Ryanair's old fleet as the Irish LLC are making them out to be. I decided to find out.

Flew to Faro from Dublin on the max 8 on Tuesday. To be honest, knowing all about the accidents kinda threw me off the idea of sitting on this plane but I have to say, one of the smoothest Ryanair takeoffs, in flight, and landings I’ve ever experienced. Only thing about these airlines is that I’m 6’3” so it’s pretty cramped up for me. But hey, you get what you pay for

Most airports charge the airline extra to board via jet bridge. Ryanair refuses to pay these fees so boards with it's own stairs. Some airports don't charge for jet bridge rental or require it in contract, in these cases Ryanair does use a jet bridge. (Or they leave for another local airport)

Most AENA airports don’t charge for jet bridges, provided that they have them, unlike TFS new terminal! LPA has them for nearly every flight

Flew the max 8 today and wondered how many people on the flight knew about the accidents! I felt ok on it tbh smooth flight throughout

Flown on this for the first time last night, when I saw it was the max one, felt....nervous knowing what was happening with them before 😅😅 but overall it was a very smooth flight tbh, booked the 18B seat leg room was very generous

@@dannialkhakdoust4518t had two crashes close to each other leading to the plane being grounded for a few years until the issue was fixed. It’s fine now though

@@dannialkhakdoust4518 no cabin crew tells you the exact type of plane you are in, max or not. They can tell you that you are in a 737 but thats it.

I wouldn't fly on a 737 max if Ryanair paid my fare hotel and car rental. It's a bit more expensive and slightly more troublesome but since Ryanair put the Max on my routes I've been flying other airlines. Such as Aer Lingus which operates mostly Airbus aircraft. Usually the 321, which is very comfortable. It will be some years before I'll be booking our family on Ryanair again as I understand most of their routes will soon be flying the Max. Bye bye, Ryanair.
