Magnificent video..... Incredible views of Utah CanyonLands - most of them accesible only by small aircraft. So different from our green, flat countryside (Uruguay)....

Wow! What a beautiful video. I fly a Cessna Skylane, bit someday hope to get a Husky and fly in Utah, where I go regularly. It would be need to see it in the Winter with the snow on the red rocks. The takeoff distance on these planes featured are outrageous. Probably 150-200 ft of grass lightly rolled on. Good music, too.

The Husky airframe is based on the Piper Super Cub, so it is quite similar. "Cub" is often used to refer to a lot of different airplanes, though they aren't all that different. In my opinion, it takes an experienced pilot to really tell the differences; I don't find either type noticeably easier to fly. The main difference I've noticed in the ones I've flown is the horsepower, and that varies by airplane, not necessarily by model or type.
@rturpening12 жыл бұрын
Can you tell me what kind of airplane these are, a piper cub? Is a super cub faster or different? I can name just about any kid of car at a glance but when it comes to planes I don't know anything. Great video by the way, it looked amazing when you took it out of the hanger. I need to get a plane and get up in the air just like you guys.

Great shots. Especially like the flying footage going through the canyons. I would have chosen different music however. It makes a big difference. For example, download the theme music from Dances With Wolves (The John Dunbar Theme) and play that music over your footage. Huge difference. Nice clip.

The yellow one in the opening hangar shot is a super cub. The red/gray one and the yellow one in the rest of the video are carbon cubs. They look the same from a distance but the super and carbon cubs are different. Might want to google them for more info. Thanks for your nice comment.

That's a perfect song for this video! I would like to paste the same music onto my next flying video. Can you say whether YT flagged you for using it--i.e., did you get a "matched 3rd party content" signal--or have to prove copyright use? Thanks...

Which is best, two or three blade prop?
@smwtubeit12 жыл бұрын
I heard you get more pull and lighter with a 2 blade, smother operation and more ground clearance with a 3 blade. Other things to consider as well depending on your needs. I recommend BackcountryPilot Org website They have an active blog with lots of info on this subject. Search for your topic and/or start a new string. Lots of other info too.
