In today''s video I am sharing all my tips for travelling and flying long haul with kids. We travelled from London to Turks and Caicos and it took us 15 hours! In this video I will show how I entertained my 3 kids on the plane. Q: Where is your accent from?
A: I was born and raised to Toronto, Ontario, Canada but moved to Essex in England when I was 14 years old. Hence my mixed up accent.

A: I worked in Marketing and PR but I now focus on my vlog full time.

I love watching your travel/packing videos and I always rewatch them when I'm packing and before we travel. We went on holiday in mid July and it was the first time I felt I was really organized and not so anxious about the trip. I did a 24 hour trip to Russia by myself , my kids are 4 and 2 yo. 3 planes , the longest was 10 hour flight. And what saved us was many brand new dollar store toys and snacks! (And movies of course) These are great ideas, thank you Emily!

Thanks for sharing your hack tips and experiences, Emily. My oldest son was terrified the first time just me and he had traveled on a plane together. We were migrating to Africa from Europe, so not just a holiday and was originally a connect fight of 15 hours. But due to technical issues, had to rush to get a 12 hours straight flight. Now living with my husband as a family of four with a second son now 3yrs are more seasoned travelers. Unfortunately, my flight experience at Heathrow airport with just my oldest son who was 3 years at the time and is now 7 yrs didn't seem so smooth sailing :(. I had to leave the snacks and some of my luggage items I brought behind when going through the security gate as I over packed and went over the luggage weight allowance. I had to also rebuy snacks at duty-free due to water content restrictions! I didn't know there was a soft play area for kids at the airport! First time traveling with kids I found can be very stressful. More experienced parents sharing their experiences truly helps first-time parents which I was at the time. Wish I found info like this sooner :D. Although, I met the nices couple with a disabled child on the plane. They went out of their way to help me and my son carry the unorganized chaos we managed to salvage after security checks of the extra luggage I brought without a fancy suitcase, just my son's stroller which I used instead which got damaged in transit, puff. Wish I had the great idea of recording that experience to warn other parents out there!

mtheron100 4 hours is actually a short trip. I fly three legs of a total of 16 hours. Be prepared and don't stress!

It's nice to see your kids entertaining each other! Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I don't bring toys on the flight for my toddler (15-months-old). We just pack lots of snacks! I found with my first kid that he tended not to play with the toys I packed, so we gave up on them.

I remember growing up when I was 10 on a Qantas flight from Adelaide to England, 24hr. My mum, dad, my 12yo sister and my 5yo sister. All we got was a colouring in book, that’s it.😐 But I do remember being able to spend a good hour in the cockpit of the 747-338 jumbo jet. Was the greatest moment of my childhood life.😁

Hey Emily thanks so much for this, we're taking a shorter flight than what we're used to (I think the longest with 3 was 15 or 16hrs) we're flying to NY tomorrow with our 8, 6, 4 & 1 year old it'll be my baby boys first flight - I'm nervous!! Were flying home from Miami so a little longer, but the Gatwick to NY flight is only about 8hrs so not bad! 👍🏽

Hi Nicha. I have been on at Matt about doing this video as he organises most of our holidays. I think the main bit of advice I have learnt if you have kids in school so are governed by the school holidays, is to book early as you don't tend to get too many actual deals in the school holidays if you leave in to last minute. Your boys are so chill and well behaved! I will be moving next summer with a four year old and a newborn, a 15 hour flight. And I am TERRIFIED. I’m so worried my children will just be shrieking and kicking the seat the whole way

Great video! What lego do you buy? My sons a similar age to Jackson and he’s only ever played with lego duplo so far as the age groups are usually 5+ for the other sets, I think he would enjoy the smaller bricks x

Also, I’m traveling to Africa with my 2 year old and going there with all the snacks is fine. What do you do for the return flight when you don’t have access to a lot of your familiar snacks, etc. ?
