These are points that really bother me, especially because I was doing financially fine in India and did not had so many struggles. I am in dilemma whether to go back, but one anxiety I had was to explain to people back in India, when they ask me why I came back? Because they see Germany as perfect and would doubt my capabilities only. You relieved me somewhat from this burden of answering to the people, I would just show them ur video. Thanks. I appreciate all the hustle you and your family are putting in.

Thanks for providing a realistic view of Germany, I have been living in Berlin for 2 years. Every country has problems even the most developed economies of the world G7 have poverty too, I have lived in the USA, Australia, and now in Germany during the last 11 years of my professional career (Lucky me :) Some would call it). Just to correct some of these points 1. You can get rich with a job, but you need to do what is needed. For example, I have observed most of the management and high-paying jobs here in Germany asks German as mandatory and they cannot accept non-German speakers which I think is very fair at least in IT because if you are in a management position you are supposed to speak to your bosses who is obviously German national, Some would say it's ridiculous but I say its rule of land where you are living. 2. Salary hike is not always 3 - 5% its very random and depends from company to company (I heard from one of my friends who was on 68k per annum when he started and in 3.5 years his salary is 120k now which is super high according to Germany but banda mehnat kiya aisi hi nahi mil usko) 3. Language is a barrier I agree with you, but how can you expect life to be smooth as butter? 4. Finally, inflation is real and it's eating a lot more money than I expected but I am still able to comfortably live with my wife not even working and the kid going to Kita. But please note it will be like this short term not for 20 years and yes, I am not able to save like 2000 Euros per month but still considerable saving 5. Paperwork yeah this is a pain but once you get used to it you are okay 6.Half of your expenses can be cut down in housing, if you fancy living at center of city like we do (Wife Choice :P) then prepare to shell out 600 - 700 Euros per month extra Everything looks painful if you feel it, but look on the positive side you get almost free Healthcare, Clean air to breathe, Kid goes to school for free, Govt will support you with some 60-70% of your last drawn salary if you lose job suddenly (if you have a PR of course), and last but not least less traffic and one of the best public transport in the world where you can save money on your travel too :)

I agree on most of the point, lets compare it with india 1. Taxes : paying more than 30% in return getting nothing, private school fees coat your min around 2-3 lakhs per year. Dic visit min 1000 one time , house taxes, water taxes , limited & pathetic public transport , inflated food prices 2 salary hike and job security : check the latest report 90% of employees getting single digit hike in IT, job pressure is on next level. 3. Buying house: do you think a middle class person can buy a house in cities like banglore, pune ,hydrabad without bank loan

Also, I guess she compared "best of India" to "worst of Germany" I mean, about 70-80% Indians work for 3-5 LPA in some service based IT company, that too, in some IT hub like Bangalore, Noida, New Delhi and Gurugram. I receive a minimum of 25k as rent for a 2 BHK flat in a gated society in a middle-class area like Dwarka, New Delhi. How can anyone even survive with a 3 or 5 LPA job if he/she don't have their own house? They HAVE to rely on someone (most probably parents). And a health crisis is something unaffordable. That's not even barely surviving

Comparison is not about Germany vs India. It is about people who are leaving India for better jobs and salaries. With good skill sets in IT one can get high jobs in India as well and enjoy chaotic life in India (which I love). In India you get everything at finger tips. Earlier Indian IT job were known for support roles only but now we have job roles from design to development.
@SShreyas17
@SShreyas17 Жыл бұрын
@@GolbalEduVentures Realise what you're saying. People are not paying taxes NOT because India has a lenient taxation policy, but because the majority don't even earn enough to survive. How would the government tax them? That being said, it doesn't mean Indians don't pay taxes at all. GST on most articles is around 12-18%, fuels are taxed beyond 100%. Because of this you would end up paying more tax (in return of no healthcare or educational benefits), if you fall in that 30% direct tax bracket. Of course you can continue to live like a lower/lower-middle class dude without paying taxes and congratulate yourself for saving it. But if you want to upgrade your economic class, Germany or any Western nation is way better option

The question is Would you leave Germany then? I have been living in Berlin since more than one year - although i agree with a lot of your points regarding rentals, language, etc however i think the quality of life you get in return (for the taxes you pay) is worthwhile - some examples include world class public transport which actually provides you last mile connectivity; brilliant quality of food and lifestyle products; access to entire europe for travel; i think in what i have seen, a great work culture where personal boundaries are respected, leaves are never questioned, you are not asked to work late, overtime is compensated via flex hours and at-least in berlin and in startups you get a decent pay rise, incentives, and benefits(although this maybe debatable). I agree with you on high deductions but we also have to see that these deductions include social security elements like health insurance, care insurance, unemployment insurance, etc. I think every country or city around the world has limitations and i think circumventing those limitations only make you a better and a more resilient individual. Overall infra including roads, Public schools and Healthcare facilities are world class in Germany as well. Also lets look inflation as macro factor currently - globally inflation is high in almost all countries (historically Germany has had a very low and stable inflation). I am not gonna discuss poverty a lot here but we know how well off Germany is in that regard globally (comparatively speaking). Look forward to your comment and your answer on “if you would leave Germany if you see a lot of challenges in the country”?

Different countries have different definitions of poverty. In India, healthcare is not supportive to the poors but Germany takes care even the poorest when it comes to health. The German educational institutions provide quality education free of cost. In India, everyone knows the condition of the public schools and hospitals. What benefits do the Indian Govt provide if someone goes broke after getting laid off? Nothing, even if the person pays 30% tax during his job tenure. At least people don't have to think about these basic things in Germany.

Dude.... I have seen the video of an indian lady living in germany. And the harsh reality she said is Germany is too expensive to live. Both husband and wife have to work to enable them to live a standard life. There is no high pay raise like in india. 1 to 5% pay hike only if you perform exceptionally well. House rent and tax structure is very high too.... And Germany population is nearly 85 millions and india population is 1400 millions. So dude its easy to downgrade our own country majority of whom i blame congress party policies which ruled india for quite a long time..... Under Narendra Modi govt india has taken a leap and its growing steadily fast... I know majority of people may not like my opinion but its a fact. Just wait for another 5 years and you'll see the diffetent result. And its easy for a well to do person to criticize our own country where they are born. I wont say much but will wait for a right time.....
@GHexplore
@GHexplore Жыл бұрын
@@INCREDIBLE-INDIANS wow, you can express your points sensibly, Good. Though I agree with couple of points mentioned in the video but I also stated few more facts. Do you even live in Germany? If yes, then you should know that the high tax rates have various components and it's not only income tax but social securities are there which will help you in your bad times. Compared to india, where I used to pay similar taxes(33% including the cess) but didn't get any help from the govt. If you add PF contribution, optional medical insurance then the effective tax rate in India is almost same as Germany plus India has high GST. These are also other aspects you have to consider. income tax in India vs income tax, pension, medical, unemployment contribution in Germany is not a fair comparison. My comment didn't have any political references but you brought political agenda, not sure why. If you are so much in love with what is going on in India, then why don't you go back and contribute to India's growth. Why staying here and whining? Also, why so intolerant if someone criticises some aspects of their country? why are you considering some hard facts about your country as an insult to your leader? India is not him and he is not India. So stop taking offence on behalf of him. I am not here to discuss Congress vs BJP, you don't need to drag politics everywhere. Your first comment is not decent, perhaps you thought you would be spared after commenting crass and no one will give a reply.

But at least, even poor people in Germany have free education for their kids, free healthcare, etc., which is not the case in the USA. So poor people in USA are much worse off than in Germany. Western countries are facing a decline, so immigrants must think twice before moving into these countries.

High % annual salary increases will stop in India too as the economy improves. Higher wages means, cost for business increases and sales will drop due to goods and services costing more for customers. Only those with a niche will make more. Salaried jobs does not create wealth - you just lead a decent life - which is good for most people. Best bet is to start your own business for those willing to take some risks in life for the extra reward. The question is how good is Germany for migrant entrepreneurs?

She is correct . Why would anyone go to other country leaving our own culture, families? It’s only money (most of the times) which motivates people to go to other countries. Lifestyle is by product of what you earn. Now even Indian companies provide good salaries, great work culture, etc. I can take leave anytime and don’t even need to take approval from anyone. I guess if you are earning anything above 25 lakh LPA in India then you can really lead good quality life provided you are sorted with do’s and don’ts of finances

Actually it is worse than she mentions. Cost to company is relatively high and companies expect you to perform as per your CTC. However, CTC includes your income tax as well as social insurance and payroll tax, which the company pays directly to the government (without you getting to see it on your salary slip). So effectively for a single earner (Tax class 1), a CTC of 6000€ would translate to less than 3000€ take home net salary. For the asset prices in Germany, that salary is abysmally low. Even high skilled individual struggle to afford anything more than one single apartment in their entire lifetime.

I agree with Ms. Shally Jain. Even after completing my 3rd Master's here in Engineering last September, with 14 years of experience in India as an Asst Prof I am doing a job in a warehouse full time but getting less salary, secondly when I apply to International schools and industries all insane. rejections everywhere, mostly saying overqualified. I am also thinking to go back to India as there it is totally a better situation. I thought Germany was better than India in most aspects but I was totally wrong. That is why I would like to end my comment by just saying "East or West, India is the best" except for the dirty politics

Most difficult things- Getting a driving licence (as if we are applying for a pilot licence) and it’s too expensive, too high property prices. Rarely you’ll see Indians driving cars or purchasing houses, unlike UK, Canada, US, Ireland, Australia, NZ. Apart from this, robotic life, language barrier and too much paperwork, etc. Living in English speaking countries is like living life on Easy mode.

Germany, US, Japan etc are developed countries. There is no chance of growing of GDP. In fact GDP of Germany is going down in minus. India is a developing country and India's growth of GDP is highest in the world. And according to reports India will surpass Germany and Japan within five years in terms of GDP growth. As per our visionary leader PM Narendra Modi India will become a developed country on its completion of hundredth year of independence i.e. 1947. Jai hind Vandematram ❤️❤️🇮🇳🙏🙏
