Hi, we are Stephen, Jess and little Hunter, a traveling family who spent 2020 self-converting a van before moving in full-time to drive around our home country of Australia. We have now completed our lap, said our goodbyes, and resumed full-time travel before we wait for our second baby to arrive.

You have probably left now, but just as a tip for pregnant mothers in Japan. You can get a special little keychain to attach to a handbag or backpack. It lets fellow train members, and store owners, police and the general community you are pregnant. It is Japan's way of taking care of pregnant women. You will be given seats by strangers on the train (even if you don't look pregnant yet), department stores will usually have special treatment, any bathroom queue/ restaurant lines you will be allowed to the front of the line. Just so many generous courtesies given of respect to pregnant women. In general, the Japanese are so polite and respectful, so I am sure no issues. But just for anyone else visiting - its such a wonderful tip for pregnant women!

We have a daughter who lives in Tokyo. She got us a family visit visa to visit in August this year, when the border was shut. Incredible experience, we didn’t see one single tourist in 10 days. Had it all to ourselves, aside from the millions of Japanese, who are just incredible people. Tokyo is a MUST visit, it’s an incredible place. Very reasonably priced also. Soooooo much to do

For those who cannot speak Japanese, it is convenient to purchase a product sold in Japan called "Poketalk" that converts English into Japanese and communicates in Japanese. If you talk to the small machine in English, it will speak Japanese instead of text. You can translate English into more than 20 countries (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish, etc.) to speak and communicate with the other party. It is sold at electronic stores in Japan. It is also very convenient for traveling to countries other than Japan.

An amazing video, as always! Honestly I didn't realise at first that the lady at the hotel was a robot :D Looked real, but with a weird expression lol. No wonder Hunter got so scared :)) Also was a bit surprised at how on one side Japan is so so modern, and then they also have human-run Rickshaws! Albeit purely for tourism purposes maybe. In my country India, these kind of rickshaws are only seen in Calcutta/Kolkata and are frowned upon as inhumane. Cycle type rickshaws are common in other parts of India like Delhi. So was surprising to see the human one in TOKYO! :))) Looking forward to the last Japan video!!!! :)

2:49- Hunter sure enjoyed that rickshaw ride (and the driver was very jovial and patient while hauling three passengers). FWIW, rickshaws were evidently invented in Yokohama in the late 1870's by a US American missionary who wanted a convenient way to transport his invalid wife around the community and soon became popular with Japanese passenger litter companies because with rickshaws, they only had to hire a single driver per rickshaw instead of TWO carriers per litter and soon became replaced traditional litters all over Southeast Asia.
