I've seen people scam small business owners with PayPal countless times. It can be a hard hit for some. There's no legitimate reason for someone to insist using it. Especially if the transaction is done in person. You can't even trust cash from people like that. Safest thing I could think of is a USPS money order or cashier's check from your own bank. I think both can be verified with a phone call.

I am a car dealer in NJ with $6,000 and under cars. This video couldn’t be more closer to the truth. The cheaper the car, the worse the customer. I deal with these a-holes every week. Most people are thrilled they got cheap wheels, while the person who’s buying the $1,000 hooptie complains that the cigarette lighter doesn’t work and demands that it gets fixed ASAP. I sell manufactured and modular homes for a living. Same can be said for this industry. They want the world and expect it for pennies and in most cases they don't have a dime to their names. The ONLY time it's worth even trying to sell to these people is because they have land. They have family land that was given to them, typically free and clear and that is the ONLY reason they get my time.

I need to say something about your comment. You are dead right! I'm a landscaper and do mainly high-end projects. I've only had four clients in the last eight years that were incredibly difficult to work with. One, they were usually rude or demanding BEFORE I signed them up. Two, they complained or were unreasonable almost from the get go. Three, extremely slow to pay progress payment per contract as the job progressed. Four, either make us re-do something or expected us to do stuff for free that was NOT part of the contract! They became problem customers. One day it just hit me, the ONLY bad customers I had were the ones that could not afford us! They should have never hired us! They bullied us to get a more expensive job at a lower price. Threats of "I'll leave a bad review", or I'll tell my friends use to work. I worked very hard to always please my customers but I finally said enough is enough. I am much more selective on my clients and I do not do things for free. Period! And I haven't had a bad client in over three years now! Much happier with no Karens to deal with! Stick to your guns. Loved this video.

When I sold cars as a dealer, I had plenty of such experiences. One evening, as I was getting ready to go home around 9:30 pm, a couple of guys walked in, stating that they needed a reliable car, but only had 1, 200 dollars. Which, because we had to collect taxes and registration, translated to roughly 900 bucks for the car. I had 2 cars that I could sell them and make about 75 bucks each. One was an extremely well running 1987 chevy 4 door with a straight body and weak paint, the other was a very good looking piece of shit Cadillac Cimarron. If you know anything about cars, the Cimarron is one that should never have existed. Anyway, I told them to buy the chevy, as it had at least 6 months left in it, and stay far away from the Cimarron, mostly because my partner had purchased it in a package deal and they absolutely SUCK. They insisted on the Cimarron. I told them to come back tomorrowand buy it from my partner as I didn't want to sell a known lemon. They insisted and I just said, ok, but you're signing a document that says it's a piece of shit. They did. And STILL tried to return it a week later when it broke down. Towed it to my front gate, blocking all my cars and insisted on a full refund. I called them and gave them 20 minutes to get it towed to wherever they wanted or I would have it impounded at their expense. They moved it, but still called me a crook. Cheap people are unbelievable.

The original owner decided that she didn't want to drive a manual transmission every day after all. Her loss, my gain. With proper maintenance, nothing extraordinary, I got another 100,000 miles out of that car without problems. Original clutch. Original struts. All the original engine ancilliaries. I only sold it to get something nicer. Sure, the trim was cheap. In fact, the whole interior felt plastic-y and cheap. But it never let me down once. That little Cavy was absolutely stone reliable (Don't get me started on the Honda Accord that replaced the Cavalier! 💩)

Glad I found this channel, I’ve been binge watching for the past two hours. I used to sell cars and I know the pain you are going through. I sold a 2002 Honda civic to a guy and told him it didn’t pass smog and was for parts only. Few weeks went by and he’s calling me demanding I pay for a new catalytic converter so he can get the car to pass smog. Told him no and it was sold as parts are as is. He took me to court over it and even with having all the proper documentation I lost because California you can’t sell a vehicle to a private party without smogging the vehicle first. I sold the car to him for $1,500 ended up having to pay him $5,500. Never sold another car without smogging it first

@@chrisg6091 I agree but you can be nice when you use your comeback line. I've been in sales for years and most jerks tend out to be jerks. I've had thousands of customers sold everything from cars to electronics and always be nice but if someone gives the old line what is the least you will take I found what is the most you can pay and smile. Not be rude because they are being rude wit their line. If they say I can do this what can you do that's different. Sort of like a house offer all offers must be presented but you need a come back line always or offer. If your already selling at a really good price and someone offers you 1/2 they are probably trying to flip whatever you have or steal it. So I never just come done if they say what is the least you'll take lol. Also, when I was younger and not so wise I found out if you engaged super low ball offers and did give your lowest price they always came back lower.

Once I supply a copy of the receipt there's no problem and I never hear from them again.

Found this by accident & love it. You've gained a new subscriber. Like your honesty & work ethic.Think you have too much patience, like the auction, draw a line & stick to it. In my business it was 3 strikes you're out, 3 confrontations & we're done. You need to go now, our business has concluded. Unfortunately for every honest dealer/dishonest buyer there's a dishonest dealer/honest buyer. For example. 2 years ago I bought a Honda Civic. $2,500 I'm a disabled senior citizen on Social Security. All I needed is something to go to the store & Dr's appointments. I was assured by a 'reputable' dealer everything was fine. I & the dealer live on the same street, I @ 138th they @ 155th. The engine gave out just as I was pulling into my parking garage & I coasted into my parking spot. Where the car sits, to this day. The dealer won't speak to me. (As is) Currently it's 2 years later & still - I've no car & no money. It is these kind of actions that give used car dealerships & salespeople like you a bad reputation that you have to fight against before the buyer even steps foot on the lot. & I'm sorry for that, but sadly, it's been earned. Asked them to fix it - NO, Asked for my money back - NO.... 18 blocks, $2500

Small claims court Judge on the other hand told them to pay up in cash plus extra fees or he'd call the local po and have him arrested for fraud. But I still lost because I had to take a day off of work to go to court and the extra fees didn't cover that, just the bank fees that I lost and judge wouldn't allow the extra for lost time.

This was awesome and you're so right in what you say about people not taking responsibility for themselves in present times...I really appreciate your candor...being honest and treating people well ultimately comes back to yourself favorably as we're all connected--it would be good for more people to realize this.

Trump literally says when things go right he gets all the credit, when things go wrong he blames somebody else. That was the leader of the free world, the most entitled person on Earth.

@@mitchhedberg4415 your Trump derangement syndrome must be pretty advanced given that he hasn't been in office for years and this is a video about a cheap used car.

Unfortunatly you're just not worth the time when theres real money to be made, and theres more important customers to be ripped off. I'd hate to be the guy offering $22k cash on the spot today on a truck listed at $28.5k, like, screw him for even offering his business, what a jerk!

@@PeteDGAF i agree with you, 22k isn’t that bad of an offer you could counter with 25 or 26 etc - he is right though most folks made ridiculous offers

So fun fact you can actually have a real debit card and people can place orders and days later get a refund. I ran 2 online stores and I allowed PayPal payment. I sent out over 60 orders that I paid out of pocket for because I don't get the money untill a week or 2 later for hold of pay out. I lost of all of those orders all the money showed but 3 days later they were all refunded. It's a huge scam for a lot of people

Regardless of what kind of business you're in you'll deal with people like this. Over time you recognize the "Karens" on the first contact and turn them away if you're smart.

Sadly, the Chinese neighbor rented to one. I constant pain in the ass but not being an investor my hands were tied. I was so happy when they moved. Constantly violating the rules, I tried to be tolerant but was not rewarded. I just hope the lazy owners to not get another Karen to replace her. Renters are the worst neighbors, they have NO social investment in being decent. I hate them !!

I feel your pain. I'm in the yacht management / yacht charter business. When I tactfully explain to clients why I don't take credit cards ( same reason you don't, potential charge backs ), everyone swears they won't that person and charge back. Twice, in 35 years I took a payment by credit card because of last minute booking circumstances. Twice I made a point of proving the client wrong and even though one was from out of state, and they knew it would be all but impossible to recover charter fees, I spent the time and effort to make an example of them, and won both times. Lots of my time was wasted, but at least it was in the winter / off season. Take care Bud. Good video

Every time I see a video like this it’s a female customer initiating the complaint after the seller clearly said the sail is “as is” both verbally and in writing.

I think I've watched about 10 videos of yours, and I've enjoyed them. I've only had one bad experience with a used dealerships. I also like flipping cars, until I started running issues with people like you've encountered and on top of that, fees going up. I gave that up. Anyways love your videos, keep up the good content.
