It was her plan all along. She had no intention of paying for the car. Hence why she insisted on paypal. Otherwise she would have transferred the money from PayPal to her checking or whatever account. Not everyone is honest and nice.

She was not dissatisfied; she was pulling a scam from the beginning.

I am a car dealer in NJ with $6,000 and under cars. This video couldn’t be more closer to the truth. The cheaper the car, the worse the customer. I deal with these a-holes every week. Most people are thrilled they got cheap wheels, while the person who’s buying the $1,000 hooptie complains that the cigarette lighter doesn’t work and demands that it gets fixed ASAP. Craig, you nailed this on the head.

I'm a used car dealer in the uk and I feel your pain. The world seem to have am attitude of "I'm entitled" rather than "I'm lucky to live in time and place where the standard of living is so good", God knows our grand parents never had it this good... Where will it all end?

When I sold cars as a dealer, I had plenty of such experiences. One evening, as I was getting ready to go home around 9:30 pm, a couple of guys walked in, stating that they needed a reliable car, but only had 1, 200 dollars. Which, because we had to collect taxes and registration, translated to roughly 900 bucks for the car. I had 2 cars that I could sell them and make about 75 bucks each. One was an extremely well running 1987 chevy 4 door with a straight body and weak paint, the other was a very good looking piece of shit Cadillac Cimarron. If you know anything about cars, the Cimarron is one that should never have existed. Anyway, I told them to buy the chevy, as it had at least 6 months left in it, and stay far away from the Cimarron, mostly because my partner had purchased it in a package deal and they absolutely SUCK. They insisted on the Cimarron. I told them to come back tomorrowand buy it from my partner as I didn't want to sell a known lemon. They insisted and I just said, ok, but you're signing a document that says it's a piece of shit. They did. And STILL tried to return it a week later when it broke down. Towed it to my front gate, blocking all my cars and insisted on a full refund. I called them and gave them 20 minutes to get it towed to wherever they wanted or I would have it impounded at their expense. They moved it, but still called me a crook. Cheap people are unbelievable.

I've had customer's do this with chargebacks and then made the call to let them know they'd be charged with theft. A lot of times, the "customer" make the mistake of stating the reason for a chargeback as "not receiving goods or services" If she's got the car.....and charged back.....she's stealing it. It's fraud.

I feel your pain .I owned a repair shop a few years ago hard to run a shop whe a customer has a $250.00 car that need $1,000.00 in repairs and they only have $100.00 .

I drove tow truck for nearly 6 years and you're basically describing more than half of the people I dealt with. Had to take extensive pictures of every single car I performed any service on because people will do anything to get something for free and would make a damage claim for something we didn't do, bash us online, etc. I'm glad to not deal with people like that anymore. I buy and sell a lot on Marketplace. It's getting to the point where I don't want to do it anymore. People are just obnoxious to deal with now. I had a lucrative side hustle, but these types of people are ruining it for everyone.

Anyone who has sold a car has met this type of person, recently sold a car, 50,000 miles ,complete service history and 4 new tyres asking 1000. Got offered 500 and when I declined it they then sent abusive messages about me and the car. Through the following week I received increased offers from this person getting up to 850. I then sold the car for 900 but left the advert with a reduced price of 850 for two days, gues who was pleading with me to arrange a viewing……sorry, just sold it.

I own a auto repair shop (36 years) and have had similar experiences, owners of newer cars are generally good customers, owners of old cheap cars that have many mechanical issues are trouble. It’s not worth the stress for a few dollars.

Glad I found this channel, I’ve been binge watching for the past two hours. I used to sell cars and I know the pain you are going through. I sold a 2002 Honda civic to a guy and told him it didn’t pass smog and was for parts only. Few weeks went by and he’s calling me demanding I pay for a new catalytic converter so he can get the car to pass smog. Told him no and it was sold as parts are as is. He took me to court over it and even with having all the proper documentation I lost because California you can’t sell a vehicle to a private party without smogging the vehicle first. I sold the car to him for $1,500 ended up having to pay him $5,500. Never sold another car without smogging it first

Betcha Karen does this PayPal chargeback on every one of her purchases. She is wasting your time and then PayPal people's time too. And all for nothing for you and PayPal as she gets her full refund.

Glad people get to see what dealers like you and me deal with on a daily basis. Many car dealers are honest people. Like any business there are some bad apples but there are many good ones.

Paypal is a large part of the reason I quit selling on e-bay.

I can totally relate to you. I have had a similar thing happen to me. After providing a service to our clients, some of them do charge backs. But I take them to court and spend more money than they paid, just to teach them a lesson. I am very thorough with my paperwork and make sure it's written in plain English. I have yet to lose. I can just see the smile on your face when you resolve your issue with Papal in your favor.

What a shame this happens. As someone that for many years needed cheap cars I can see how this type of person makes it hard for honest people that need to purchase cheap cars. Scammers ruin it for all of us. Sorry they did this to you.

My boss back in Charlotte had a killer way of dealing with rude people. He kept the business cards of his competitors in his wallet, and at the slightest sign of rudeness would politely hand competitors card to person and explain how much better his competitor is and "you really should go talk to him". Person would then get all "I don't want to.. blah blah blah" and my boss would say "I'm sorry, I have nothing to sell you. I do not need more customers you see I have plenty, I need less customers in fact and I am starting with you! Congratulations!".. I loved that guy he was the best!

When I sell anything on marketplace and get low ball offers. I send them pictures of eBay listing for cheaper alternative brands. And just say “ I think this is more in your budget”.

Here's what you should have done. Register the car as stolen to the police, then tell them where to find it (her verified address/credit check). This person is a scammer, no less. Treat them brutally as well. We have dealt with such people from time to time. No mechanically inclined....whatever.....will buy a beat up volkwagen to make it drive.

I tried selling a $500 car. It ran new breaks no warning lights. Lots of women looking for their highschool kids. I was honest. It'll need tires exhaust and rear struts. As is you'll get a year out of it. So $500 for a car. Drive it one year junk it for $200. Finally a guy shows up offers $200 I said ok take it. Agreed and waited 1 day. He then calls me and says. Can I sell it back to you in a week. I need it for my niece to take a drivers test. WTF Finally I got a guy to buy it for scrap. He loaded it up on his flat bed and took it away for $200. You can get about $1000 for any running car now days.

A friend who trained me to sell cars years ago had a saying for As-Is sales. You know what As-Is means don’t you? It means that if it breaks in half on your way home, YOU own both halves! You gotta love it!

I get charge back attempts all the time. I'm in Ireland but the card issuers/banks here do not automatically charge it back and then ask the question later. They send the charge back notice and give a date for a valid response, usually a month. After that, if they receive no response, they will charge it back. Once I supply a copy of the receipt there's no problem and I never hear from them again.

In my business it was 3 strikes you're out, 3 confrontations & we're done. You need to go now, our business has concluded. Unfortunately for every honest dealer/dishonest buyer there's a dishonest dealer/honest buyer. For example. 2 years ago I bought a Honda Civic. $2,500 I'm a disabled senior citizen on Social Security. All I needed is something to go to the store & Dr's appointments. I was assured by a 'reputable' dealer everything was fine. I & the dealer live on the same street, I @ 138th they @ 155th. The engine gave out just as I was pulling into my parking garage & I coasted into my parking spot. Where the car sits, to this day. The dealer won't speak to me. (As is) Currently it's 2 years later & still - I've no car & no money. It is these kind of actions that give used car dealerships & salespeople like you a bad reputation that you have to fight against before the buyer even steps foot on the lot. & I'm sorry for that, but sadly, it's been earned. Asked them to fix it - NO, Asked for my money back - NO.... 18 blocks, $2500

In my (much) younger days, I worked as a mechanic and as a used car salesman. Nothing in this vid is new. 10% of the customers cause 90% of the problems. Now in my retirement, I choose to work on antique vehicles on the side. Strictly my terms and any sales are private with no comeback.

I work for a car dealership. Customers come in saying "I want the best cash price". I respond "I can get you a better price if you finance. The lender's pay us participation to finance through them. The only difference between cash and finance is 24 hours.". You're not lying to the customer and it sets the understanding that CASH is NOT king....

Luckily here in Europe, we only transfer through banks so that a chargeback is difficult to do from a client. Paypal should be more strict in listening to both parties if something occurs

I'm the type of guy that would rather shop at an overflow lot, with $3000 - $5000 to play with.

Keep in mind if you get it back, it may be missing parts! Check it over and if it's missing anything, file fraud charges.

So fun fact you can actually have a real debit card and people can place orders and days later get a refund. I ran 2 online stores and I allowed PayPal payment. I sent out over 60 orders that I paid out of pocket for because I don't get the money untill a week or 2 later for hold of pay out. I lost of all of those orders all the money showed but 3 days later they were all refunded. It's a huge scam for a lot of people

Regardless of what kind of business you're in you'll deal with people like this. Over time you recognize the "Karens" on the first contact and turn them away if you're smart.

I feel your pain. I'm in the yacht management / yacht charter business. When I tactfully explain to clients why I don't take credit cards ( same reason you don't, potential charge backs ), everyone swears they won't that person and charge back. Twice, in 35 years I took a payment by credit card because of last minute booking circumstances. Twice I made a point of proving the client wrong and even though one was from out of state, and they knew it would be all but impossible to recover charter fees, I spent the time and effort to make an example of them, and won both times. Lots of my time was wasted, but at least it was in the winter / off season. Take care Bud. Good video

Every time I see a video like this it’s a female customer initiating the complaint after the seller clearly said the sail is “as is” both verbally and in writing.

I think I've watched about 10 videos of yours, and I've enjoyed them. I've only had one bad experience with a used dealerships. I also like flipping cars, until I started running issues with people like you've encountered and on top of that, fees going up. I gave that up. Anyways love your videos, keep up the good content.
