This was my daughter Kristi's favorite song of Flyleaf. Sadly and tragically our beloved daughter took her own life over the relationship she was in. Our dear Kristi left a note expressing how she felt there wasn't a way out of it! We never knew and the family where she lived never mentioned her earlier attempts either! All I can say to anyone who's in this type of relationship just please speak to someone! Anyone! Please! Lacey's testimonies are always so full of love and acceptance. It just warms my heart to see someone like her front such a successful rock band (previously at least) and still focus on the people who listen to their music. This song has also always been a song that touched my heart.

On April 3, 2010 (the day before Easter) I had a stroke while vacuuming my car out. I didn’t know it at the time but I had torn an artery in my neck two weeks prior. A small scab/clot had formed inside the artery wall and after some time it broke loose and traveled up into my head where it blocked the blood flow to my cerebellum. I managed to make it out of my car and turn the vacuum off before collapsing in agony on the driveway. Miraculously, just a couple minutes later my stepfather pulled up and found me on the ground and rushed me to the hospital. I most likely would have died had he not come by when he did. 31 days later I found myself leaning on a walking cane in a small intimate venue with several hundred other souls. In front of me was Lacey and she was delivering a similar sermon with the song playing gently in the background just like in this video. I found it an incredibly personal and surreal moment given her message and the fact that I had endured so much pain and had come so close to dying just a few weeks prior. I wept at the beauty of the gentle melody and her words.

I miss this band so much.

I love flyleaf and think they are a great band. But I hate all this goddy shit. I'm a millitant athiest and sometimes I struggle with watching their live videos to be honest. I'd love to see them live but i worry about all the preaching. Its a shame.
