This shit has become way more complicated than it was in the 90’s, i cant even get past bind, Im ready to sell the whole car and I havent even gotten started yet, im thinking getting back into RC racing was a bad idea! The tech has far surpassed me

It's really not hard to do and it's so much easier now not having to mess around with long antennas and the dam channel crystals lol stick with it and you will get there in no time :)

very good video. I wanted to buy a Radiolink, but I'm going to go with the G7P. I don't need a gyro in my ride, but I think it will give me a lot of fun, so I'm going to buy a kit with the R7V :)

It's pretty amazing to get a 7 channel rx with gyro for 20 quid. Although i will say it's a bit of a weird offering unless people are running gyros in their 2 speed diff lock crawlers lol. Would like to see them do a small 3ch rx with gyro and BVD/telemetry. But hey for the price, why not put a 7ch rx in a 2 channel car.

No the FS r7v is ant protocol so will only work with the G7P for the nb4 and pro flysky do the INR4 GYB receiver with full SVC :) I have vids in it :)

Do you have to mount it in any particular orientation w/r to up/down forward/back etc? Or does it calibrate to any 3D position?

From what I can tell once you hit calibrate it takes that as level so it should work anyway you mount it

They will all be available at some point I just get them really early in the dev cycle so I can test them

Fairly new to Flysky G7P with R7p receiver, followed you video and everything seems work fine except my gyro my SVC will not turn on I get error “RX NOT CONNECT OR NOT SUPPORT SVC”

R7P is not an SVC receiver you need an R7V

So, you must have a contact or something at FlySky to get these in before they're on sale... Would that contact be able to say if they're working on a Nobel successor that supports ANT? Also, do you happen to know if I had two G7P's could I bind them to the same receiver? that way I can have a spare for a friend ready to go without having to swap receivers?

For 2 G7P the whole point of them binding is so no other transmitter can control them :) that said if you power the auto binding receiver up with no transmitter powered on they will enter auto bind mode then you can just power up the G7P you want and hit bind and off you go :), as for contact at flysky yes I do lots of vids and testing for them :) also you can buy the fs r7v now on AliExpress :)

What kind of temp sensor is compatibel for the receiver? CTM01 of which you made a video of?

Yeh the FS ctm01 is the temp sensor there the same ones that work with the nb4 and pro

hi thank for the video. i have FS G7p also and i have problem with steering sensitive. like when the transmitter shake on my hand a little bit, vthe servo direct turn left, even i don't touch the steering wheel. it normal or broke?

Could be many things but I'd try setting the servo frequency in the G7P to analogue as it may be too fast on digital

Great vid! So svc is like avc? So if the car loses traction it will cut power accordingly as well?

It's full stability control and you can adjust everything so far more control than avc or traxxas gyro control

Hi, I've bought 2 FS-G7P/FS-R7P now because I'm trying to use it with my Traxxas 4Tec 2.0 VXL. The 1st one was used, bought 2nd one brand new. Sadly, after testing both I still had the same problem. The RX binds, Everything seems to work, except there's "No Throttle"! In both G7P controllers, when I move the trigger nothing happens? After trying 2 radios I'm thinking maybe the problem has to do with the Traxxas stability control feature? Or a certain radio setting that need changing for the throttle to work?? Please if u do kno how to make it work let me know! I've about given up on it after buying & trying a 2nd controller & an additional (3rd) receiver... PS: lmk if there's a better way to reach u with a question like this?

So the reason your having issues is the G7P is too fast for the low quality traxxas esc, you can slow the G7P down so it will work by setting the servo frequency to 280hz or lower then calibrate the esc and all will work fine :)

@@WTFRCCars Oh, wow, thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, when I got No Throttle, I had set it to the 333hz I saw on a previous video. I'm gonna try the 280hz. I am using the FS-R7P RX & I believe the Traxxas 4tec has the stability control built into it's esc. (stock radio has a knob/dial to turn the stability up/down.) I really hope this gets the throttle working! I am also hoping I can still use the Traxxas stability control with one of the G7P's buttons or dials? Thks again, lyk how it turns out..

With traxxas all stability control is in the receiver but you can get a gyro receiver now for the G7P :)

hi is cool RX, but i have problem. how about setting ? if i push throtle gyro it ON and if turn left or right i need gyro OFF. how about setting in G7P. please help sir, thanks

Hi, I've just received my new FS R7V to put in a losi mini-B. I've got the same radio as you and just watched and liked your video about how to do the latest firmware update which is .30. prior to that, when I went to SVC it would say "Rx not connect or not support SVC". After the update it still says the same message. I've imported my saved car settings and can see them in the menu and I have the correct car chosen (not that I think that matters so much) My servo and motor are working correctly. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

I have ordered the above transmitter/receiver. I'd like feedback on something I want to try and that is, I want to control a variable resistor (pot) by remote control at a distance of about 200 feet. My plan is to connect a servo to the shaft of the pot, then use the transmitter to rotate the servo. I have a 270* servo that matches the 270* pot rotation. I expect to change or at least remove the spring in the servo control lever. Probably externally mount a resistor with labels. I want the servo to stay where I set the pot in the transmitter. Even after shutting off the transmitter, Is that possible? It seems like I saw a setting in the transmitter that leaves the servo where it was set, can I get more explanation. Thanks for the help.

Yeh you can have it power off and go to a set position but not sure if it would just stay where it is

@@WTFRCCars As I understand, the receiver, when it loses contact with the transmitter goes to a default set position. Can that be prevented? I want it to stay where it's set at power off. I have never used an RC remote so don't have a lot of understanding, but I do have an electronics background, so I expect to learn pretty quickly about how it works. Thanks for any additional thoughts about this.

@@WTFRCCars That would be cool if you could try it and see if there is something in programming that will allow it to work as I want. My Flysky FS-R7V receiver + Flysky G7P transmitter or on a slow boat from China so, it will be a while before I get it. Thank you!

I'm new in this area. - I don't understand how do you power up your receiver? Does signal cable connected to ESC delivers power to the receiver? - You are using 3S which is around 11,1V but according to spec the receiver you have is working in the range 3,5V - 9V so I'm confused? Are you trying to burn it or is there any voltage reduction in ESC?

The esc has a bec circuit and drops the voltage to 6v

All esc's have a bec to provide power to the receiver and servo, some you can set to 6v 7.4v and 8.4v

I'm new to the G7P. Any reason why my SVC will not turn USE : "ON" When I select it, it will not allow me to switch from USE : "OFF" to "ON" Just as you show at 5:08 in your video.

You have to use a gyro receiver or it won't work :)

That's not a gyro receiver you need the FS r7v that's the one with gyro feature

You can monitor the voltage going in at the esc just set the low level alarm at 3.3v per cell so 19.8v

Make sure servo frequency is set to custom 333hz and then run calibration on the esc it's self not on the radio :)

Xr10 pro wont calibrate at 60hz analogue and the analogue digital setting has nothing to do with binding, you need to set it to digital and then select 2 way in bind option :)
