As expected, you are right! On the Flysky, the stick is 25 mm as shipped. Lengthing it as much as what seemed practical, I got it to 30 mm. The Spektrum as shipped is 32 mm. And, as you describe I'm sure that can be made longer - I just wasn't able to do it with my fingers.

Sounds like an Amazon.com project! That's a bit beyond my level.

@@RCJim well depends how good care You take of them ,but they are cheap soo there is nothing to lose .....infact i have a 6ch reciver thats mising a antena and it still works perfect

Yes, I've been using mine for a good while now. I've only had one possible glitch, and that could have been a burst of wind as I was over trees rather low on a windy day. Unfortunately, mine doesn't have a range check. I would really like to have that.

Starting with channel 1, the order is: aileron, elevator, throttle, and rudder. Power is provided through the throttle connection, which comes from the ESC. Given that you have power from there, you do not use another battery to power the receiver. If power was not being provided by a BEC (battery elimination cirucuit) in the ESC, then it could be provided by a 2S battery plugged into any of the connectors on the receiver.

I understand what you are saying about the trees. We have them all around our flying field. A couple of times we have even had someone crash into the tree over the pit area!

It's hard to know, but one would hope that the manufacturer is not telling us a furphy. (Aussie slang, for something told as being factual, widely believed - at least for a while, but totally wrong!)

Hi David, I think I pointed out that apart from lacking the two extra channels, the Spektrum is better. So, I'm certainly not advocating trashing a Spektrum to go out and by a Flysky. But the main point is that there is a lower pricing point for someone coming into the hobby who is still serious about his or her flying. Of course, I'm still testing to see if any issues arise. I'm about to re-maiden my VQ SBD, and I'll be using the Flysky radio & the V-Good 100A ESC. Given that I paid something on the order of $200 for the second hand, but never flown plane, put a little over $100 into the motor, adding in the $130 for transmitter and receiver and another $30 for the ESC, that would get someone in the air with a serious model for close to $500 (allowing a bit extra for some generic LiPo's}. And, I could have saved more by getting a generic brand motor.

⁠thanks all. If my choice I ll still go for spektrum. Something I learned from the hobby is to wait a bit and get the suitable item. I spent a lot on getting basic then upgrading ending up in paying twice. To make it easier I see Spektrum like iphones, Radiomaster / flysky are like Samsung mobiles. Of course there are other high end like, spektrum ix20, jeti and multiplex but this is another story. NXs series are amazing systems.

@@user-rx8qq8sk9ydv1ce5ib You may be right. I put the Flysky into the SBD that I just restored, and crashed it after one circuit. Unknown whether it was a radio failure or pilot brain fade. I’ll put up a video about it.

Hi Richard, No, it doesn't bind to the Spektrum receivers that I have tried with it. But, you can get an 8 channel Flysky receiver for under AU$30 - significantly less in US$.
