In this video we are going to see what is a FLYWHEEL. A flywheel is a mechanical device specifically designed to efficiently store rotational energy (kinetic energy) and provide the same during ideal stroke.
Just as the kinetic energy of an object moving in a straight line is given by this equation: (E = ½mv2), where m is mass and v is velocity.
The equivalent, kinetic energy of a spinning object is given by this one: (E = ½Iω2) , where I is the moment of inertia and ω is the angular velocity.
