You can't make more energy with less energy, not equal also, there is losses in gear and bearing friction, motor efficiency, air drag to flywheel, gravity etc. You can increase efficiency using magnetic or air bearing for flywheel and putting flywheel in vaccum chamber

To all those people who thinks it's an energy generating device. It's an energy storing device for places where there are long powercuts and u don't want to use batteries. Spin the flywheel for 6 minutes when u have electricity with the help of high power motor and it will provide you electricity for next one hour to use low power devices.

@@neeryours high motor's torque will accelerate the flywheel in less time and low friction force will take more time to de-accelerate the flywheel. And there will be loss of energy in the form of heat and sound also. So, output energy will be less then the input energy.

@@neeryours did you ever study physics.? Read carefully I will explain you in very simple way. Just think about the running wheels of vehicles. If you apply strong brake it will stop in very less time. If you apply weak brake it will take more time to stop. In first case you are applying strong force for less time meas high energy consumption for small period of time and in second case you are applying small force for long time means less energy consumption but for longer period. If you apply physics rule in both the case you are using equal amount of energy although in second case it took long time to do it.

I am a mechanical engineer i just want to say that by speaking different technical terms only doesn't make a perpetual motion machine works. But i would like to see there actual patent filling. Will search for it. Edit: also there is a big flaw in his explanation, ball after striking the bat has work done on it by 2 persons that's why it travels more after striking bat, on the other hand, bearing does not do any work so it will not add extra power after striking.

Flywheel energy storage system is in existence since 1940s. It's a mechanical battery which can only convert energy from one form to another. Saying that running a motor for 6 minutes will provide electricity for 1 hour is like charging my phone battery for 1 hour and it will provide backup for 12 hour.

Have the bbc team looked into it closely, it's using a battery series to just "convert" the dc electricity to ac electric current and probably just stepping up the voltage of it so in a sense a kind of step-up transformer that can be done with an inverter and a voltage stabilizer there is no "free generation of energy" here as claimed in this video at least go through their KZfaq channel they are KAPPA gear flywheel company they are presenting it as a electricity multiplier. Do not get confused in big words just break it down to simplicity and you would find according to this video it is shown as a perpetual motion machine which is a bogus claim as it will not be consistent with the laws of energy conservation, the best it can be is a transformer. I am no physicist but I am sure physicist would shred the claims of this video of free energy generation into pieces.

The rotary motion of turbines produces electricity. Again this rotary motion is achieved by using flow of water, wind or oil engines. Other ways of producing electricity is photo electric process as is done in solar panels. Geothermal sources and heat generated by burning coal are also used to produce steam which again rotate turbines for electricity. Simply there is conversion of energy from one to another. Process shown here is nothing to do with generation of energy. They are simply converting already produced energy in different voltage form to be useful for different purposes. A lay man without knowing the basics of physics was entrusted with making the video. Shocking.

RIP First Law of Thermodynamics. Edit: Although you cannot create more energy than you put in the system... This is a good example of a flywheel battery. There were several buses in Europe that used a spinning flywheel as a source of energy.. the energy from the flywheel was used to power the electric motor. The flywheel was spun again at some intervals to recharge it.

There seems to be a confusion between power and energy. Energy is power multiplied by time. The device shown in the video uses high power for a short time say 10 minutes to rotate a heavy flywheel. The flywheel rotates for a longer period say 60 minutes because of its inertia to generate low power for a long time. This is like charging a battery with high current in a short time and using it to deliver low current for a long time. The claim that it is green energy is false because the energy utilized to move to motor initially for the shorter period has already been produced by a power station that has used conventional process, that produces enough pollution.

It is like you r saying I can run higher cc engine with low cc engine, remember flywheel stores energy upto an extent because how more u run it will not stores further energy as it is running at maximum rpm, so it doesn't matter if u run it for 1 minute or 6 minute the stores energy will remain same, so it won't transmit more torque to coupling that it is using the energy to get it in motion..

Dude: can any one explain "law of conservation of energy" to me. A system cannot generate more energy than what it has been fed. Let alone more, it cannot generate equal amount of energy due to losses. If you have achieved this we all have to rewrite the books. If you are using any permanent magnets for the perpetual motion, I can understand. Also can you post the link of the patent, I would like to go through the doc And every house hold will build this equipment in their basement.

You are 100 % correct. Basic physics law energy and can not be produced or distroyed. We can change the form of energy ... There no any soluction in the universe to make this types of self driven energy source. In above project initially electric motor consume more electricity from main line and transfer the same to fly wheel. After some time fly wheel stop. This cricket explanation sounds fascinating but it is incorrectly described as if energy is going to automatically get generated. He forgot the fact that both batsman and bowler lost energy while sending the ball out of the ground. So the question is where is that energy of bowler and batsman in this machine coming from? BBC should have presented this as a claim instead they presented this as a verified proven innovation. It's not upto BBC standards

The engery you use to move those wheels can't be less than the generated energy by Dynamo. Even you manage to create 0 friction of bearing ( not possible) , the yield energy can't be more than applied energy.

A spinning flywheel stores rotational energy. This is already known. But ultimately energy is needed to accelerate the flywheel to the desired RPM i.e. prime mover. That is the energy that needs to be generated. This mechanism only is a transient energy storage system.

In the school times, I used to think about such mechanism. But according to law of conservation of energy, a perpetual machine is impossible to make. It's not a perpetual machine It has to be given mechanical electrical spurt at specified interval But ultimately it will produce free energy with little use of spurt at regular intervals
