Welcome to outdoor flight testing of FlyWing FW450 V3 with Radiomaster Boxer M2, EdgeTx Radio controller. In this video I will fly The FW450 V3 and test all the Flywing GPS RC Helicopters flight modes (GPS, ATT, 6G, 3D and RTH). I will also test auto circle, figure 8, auto invert, auto 3d and manual 3d. I got a Boxer a couple months ago to fly my two basic 3D/6G helis. It was my first "real" radio, vs the RTF ones that come with these helis. I love the radio, but couldn't imagine what purpose the 6 flight mode buttons would serve. This demonstrates exactly where they become useful. Thank you for your effort and demonstration of the Boxer as a capable & flexible radio for much more complicated aircraft!

Hey Ali, FW crack me up. I know you can't say anything (nor do I want you to) but I was looking at the new and improved V4 ESC and they showed a demo with the new machine. Looks like it has a different color skids, full metal rotor head (no removable grips), and what appears to be a new flight controller and testing of some new servos...even looks a little "stretched." Exciting times for sure!

Ali beautiful sunset flight. We had some exceptional weather here in the Midwestern USA and I was able to put three packs through FW450 V3. It flew like an absolute dream. While I enjoy doing F3C, I only fly in 3-D mode and it’s a little hard and annoying to use a throttle and collective that is spring loaded but if I ever wanted to fly in GPS I just leave it.

Great video, and some nice flying :-) It would be great if you could make a video about how to set up the boxer TX for the FW450v3. My boxer TX is coming tomorrow, and I have no idea how to set it up for the FW450v3 :-(

it takes SBUS receivers. i do not know if Spectrum has those or not. if yes you can setup

I have set the flight mode switches on my TX16S. Here is my concern. I used special functions to override channel 5, and I made the switch assignment for five, open. I had to enter values fir the override for each FM button. However, the outputs don't match exactly as you listed. Mine yield 1403, 1500, 1301, 988 and 2002. Are those outputs close enough to put the flight controller into their perspective modes? My heli shows up tomorrow and I want to make sure I'm good. I bought both of your heli files, but this build is not on there, so I had nothing to compare. Main problem is special functions only allows whole values and no decimal options. TY

you have to fine tune those. you can do it in edge opentx easily

I figured it out. I assigned channel 5 to GV1. Then I set my special functions to adjust GV1.

Hi Ali, I have a FW450 UH1 Huey, I have purchased the new V3 gps unit but it won’t allow me to get power to the main and tail motor, I have a orange blinking light, serve movement in 3D only, please advise? Thank you!!

maybe calibrate the GPS, radio sticks and see if it helps

I know your on vacation, but I need help. I replace the ESC, I have no idea where to place the wires, so I can put on the side plate. I had them pushed under the main gear, but they will surely get ripped apart there! Any photos or help is greatly appreciated, enjoy you trip/vacation.

where you put wires is all your choice. just make sure they stay away from gears and still connect to motor

you mean spektrum? I am not familiar with that radio, but i am going to post two tutorials for EdgeTx Boxer and TX16s how to use 5 flight modes on 2 x 3 position switches.
