So, I went on a group hang out to get to know this guy...long story short, the guy didn’t seem that interested in me. But he was just shy. On my way home, I cried the whole time. I was just driving and feeling numb. I played this song and just cried over and over. Well, almost exactly a year later, he’s now my husband

I was a child born in the yr of 1983. Never heard retro synth wave music like this at all till now. So now I'm being treated and transported back to a time that I grew up too fast to enjoy. Thanks for taking me their again with this track.

This type of music couldn't have died in the 80s, because it's making me feel the same feelings when I listen to those... Something close, longing, romantic, deep, among other things. So glad there are still songs like this being made.

Found this in a Reddit thread and I'm amazed how everything about it mimics 80s synth pop so well right down to the wistful, romantic lyrics. You could've snuck this into a playlist of obscure 80s pop singles and I never would've questioned it.

Such a beautiful song. Floods of emotions. The Words are so real when you love someone and they really don't understand how much you care for them and love them due to distance and misunderstanding as time takes them down a different path. You never forget the pain.

Hearing these hypnagogic synth rhythm creates an odd feeling in me. Like, I never lived my life through the neon 80's. I was still a distant twinkle in my parent's eyes but I formed certain aspects surrounding the western culture of that time from the VHS tapes of 80's and 90's TV series my parents recorded. So this song, which I assume is about making up, immerses me in an 80's drama show where a glam metal-head boyfriend and a colorful punk girlfriend are at their separate homes conversing over landline telephones. The girl's in bed blowing bubblegum and the guy's taking five after playing his drumset. You know, typical young romance stuff. And this is earnestly why I'm saying it's odd.

I accepted to date her, even though we both knew she'd be going back to her country After 4 months. It was such a happy period of my life. Then, as the date she'd leave got closer and closer, I was on my night shift, just listening to random music, and this song popped in. At first I was like "oh, FM-84, nice" but then I notice the lyrics. Next thing I knew, I was holding my mouth, and I was in tears

such a sad song, i think nobody was interesed to the lyrics except for me, to the beginning to the end of a beautyfull relationship that was a lot for one, that was loving but now we both know that is the end because she/he dont want to hug, kiss, etc.. to you and now all remains in fights, crys and damage to each one, but still a little love between you :')
