Hello… Hello! We are getting a BRAND NEW FNAF BOOK! The book “The Week Before” puts you into the perspective of a security guard trying to survive the week before the first FNAF game. We know that Mike Schmidt is the security guard in the first game, so who is the mystery man behind the phone call on the first night?

@@ZavoyHarwood The only argument I could see being even somewhat valid, is phone guy dies before fnaf 1 in the fnaf 1 location and we know William died in the same location. It’s just the biggest flaw in this is we know what phone guy sounds like and we know what William sounds like. They sound nothing alike.

William Afton and Phone Guy are not the same person. As KZfaqr Treesicle pointed out after the 4th game, Phone Guy died in the night 4 message. If that really was Afton, he wouldn't have become Springtrap. Besides, Sister Location confirmed that the game version of William Afton is British, and I doubt he could make his voice sound like the one we here. It just doesn't add up.

Phone Guy can’t be William Afton because he dies on night 4 by the animatronics and if he was it would be impossible for him to die because he destroyed the animatronics. Also phone guy dies *BEFORE* William because the animatronics are still active and after phone guy’s death William destroys the 4 then dies in the Springlock suit

Tom, PurplePhone was debunked back in FNaF 3. Phone Guy dies in the security office by Golden Freddy before FNaF 1. William Afton dies (albeit still around via paranormal means) in the safe room by Springlock failure after FNaF 1 during the FNaF 3 Follow Me flashbacks. Also gonna mention totally different voice actors. Purple Guy is not Phone Guy in the games, that's just something the Movie did. The Movie is a different continuity.
