It only means that the fans are too emotional. I realize this is a sad moment, but this isn't a normal character development, it's just three lines of text that were added to make the kids cry.

The animatronics were easy to sympathise with from the main game, but this did help even more for Roxy. My biggest issue is that we didn't see enough of her to really feel the connection between her and Cassie. They should have had at least one proper scene talking, or interacting somehow. As it was we can assume there's a connection, but if was never really shown.

If you read between the lines from Roxy’s portrayal through all of SB and RUIN you can tell that she’s arguably the most “human” of all the other animatronics. On the surface it would seem like she’s very vain and self-absorbed, but yet she keeps putting herself down and tries to come to grips with not seeing herself as a failure. It becomes clear that she struggles with self-esteem and confidence, so much to the point were she tries to cope by criticizing herself harshly and often times is heard SOBBING over this. All of this were key components that made Roxy easy to sympathize with and recognize her as much more than just a “mindless angry machine.” That’s why a lot of people (me included) felt like there was a heavy dose of emotional impact when it’s brought to light that not only is Roxy not like the others, but beyond her corruption (Vanni programming) lies her true character and “human” qualities that separated her from everybody else as it could be understood from analyzing her behavior in the base game all the way to RUIN. That one cutscene alone along with what we already can infer from Roxy’s character is what makes this moment effective and a damn good one considering there was little build-up to both Roxy’s and Cassie’s relationship, but then again you didn’t need to. It would’ve established their bond further, but wasn’t something that I don’t think was necessary, so to speak. In some ways, depending on how it’s done, I actually like it this way because it gives me a chance to use my imagination and fill in the gaps that was left by the lack of information and acknowledging Roxy’s humanized characterization and relatability, I can completely see and visualize her being compassionate enough to have formed a strong bond with Cassie in the past, especially considering that the relationship was formed from Cassie being left out and seemingly abandoned by her “friends”, and knowing Roxy’s own burdens with self-esteem she probably assumed that Cassie might be going through similar issues since being left alone at her birthday would very likely damage a little kid’s self-esteem as well, so it illustrated an impactful friendship between the two. Also noting that Cassie’s favorite of the animatronics was indeed Roxy via item descriptions and other details in-game. The connection was there, just not in the way you expected and I’m one to argue that not EVERY detail needs to be shown onscreen as long as what IS shown is executed just right. It’s for all of these reasons that I think what they left us with was surprisingly efficient and effective with only a minor nitpick that I too would’ve love to see some more interactions between them and see more of their nuanced relationship, but what I was presented with was still a solid character building moment. I can only assume that we’re obviously going to see more of them in a future story update, which is one reason why I’m not concerned over the quantity, but rather the quality of what was there is what satisfied me.

And then there’s Chica who’s perma stuck on pizza mode.

Chalk it up to sentient machines with human-like emotions and feelings being messed up by Gregory's damage followed by months of isolation. They've resorted to base instincts or desires in an almost animalistic manner. They can all sate themselves to some degree and that's enough, but Roxy can't get that satisfaction because of how physically damaged she is. So Cassie turning up, the little birthday girl with no friends Roxy remembers and this later on tracks her mind back to an almost default "Good old days" state where she was just an animatronic that played music and entertained kids. Just listen to her calmer tone of voice and song at the end of this video, that's obviously referencing her behaviour during those times. Anyhow, you could say Roxy mentally going back to happier times is her way obtaining some form of happiness, that's enough to snap her out of the virus or broken state she's been in to both self-reboot and come to Cassie's aid.

I think Roxy's change in behavior has something to do with Glitchtrap/Mimic/ whatever the entity controlling her is releasing control over her

I think Chica and Monty have already gone insane with time. Monty just straight up became a monitor lizard and Chica is a moldy mess.

Guessing she was worried about her looks and such before going out to meet any kids for events. But had a feeling that despite how she is, she's not as bad as some might've made it seem. (think most of them are except Monty, based on a few things and hints)

I’m pretty sure that Roxy’s personality in Ruin is what she was originally programmed with. But Glitchtrap corrupted and twisted the Glamrock animatronics personalities.

I really like where it's going with Roxy, and I hope we get to see her as the new helper. I'm gonna avoid saying any spoilers

It’s mentioned that animatronics have facial recognition, I wouldn’t be surprised if they also had voice recognition and Roxy remembered Cassie’s voice. Remembering her “special day” where no one showed up.

I think being deactivated via the node with the faz wrench rebooted her and undid her hacking like with eclipse.

A lot of the lore is in the collectables.

@@IzoQuartzthat’s true, that Fazwrench rebooted Sun/Moon, awakening Eclipse who is a balance of Sun and Moon with Sun thanking Cassie after Eclipse bid Cassie farewell now that Moon is technically no more, it also rebooted Roxanne Wolf. I have a feeling she will possibly have to use it to deactivate The Mimic if another DLC is in play, but that will not be easy

@@darassylmoniakam It definitely is implied that he dies down there as he is "close by" during the fire, If he wasn't in danger then his distance wouldn't matter. There's also another line where he implies he wants to kill himself "I could make myself...sleep. But not yet." so he probably stayed to die by the fire.

Those so call "friends" must be jerks not showing up. Hope they had a good reason. But at least Cassie had someone with her.

I actually feel bad for chica. Out of all the glamrock animatronics she got the worst of it. She lost her voice, beak, has a lazy eye, and her arm. And unlike the others she’s barely functioning and just hanging on for dear life 😢

It would be cool if Cassie could be buddy-buddy with Roxy just the way Gregory was with Freddy. The two could go on an adventure to defeat the Mimic! I'd kill for a whole scene just showing Roxy fight with tooth and claw and everything.

Her commercial has her saying “nobody likes a loser” which likely contributes to her inferiority complex. She wants to be liked, so she has to be better and is highly critical of herself and her failures. Maybe that’s why she liked Cassie too. She knows how it feels to be left alone

In the base game, Vanessa points out to Freddy that Gregory isn't in the guest database, meaning that he never interacted with the Glamrock animatronics until the start of the game. This is also why Freddy couldn't find anything on Gregory upon scanning him. From the looks of things, Cassie is in this database since she did have a birthday party at the pizzaplex, but only Roxy is still functional enough to access it since her head isn't nearly as damaged as Chica's or Monty's during their ruined state. It's also implied that Roxy by recognizing Cassie got an accidental reboot similar to Freddy at the start of Security Breach, restoring her to how she's supposed to be like (similarly nice to kids like Freddy is), which adds a sad touch to the base game.

Because they were hacked, which caused them to be violent. The tales from the pizzaplex novels (which seem to be canon, since the mimic is in them and in ruin), even imply it was Gregory who hacked them.

Do you know how long it would take to generate responses if ALL memory was taken into account? Imagine waiting for a ChatGPT response after filling it with hundreds of thousands of tokens of information (if it could handle that much). So obviously you will need an algorithm that will make sacrifices on the data. We forget things for a reason, we evolved that ability for a reason. Selective forgetting, and having some memories be more difficult to recall than others is not something that comes in by default. It's an intended important mechanism, not a flaw, and is also probably the only reason why we sleep, so the brain can peacefully go through all the information gathered throughout the day and pick which memories will stay, and how deep, and which are irrelevant. Thought that's speculative. So a theoretical AI like Roxy's would absolutely need to have the ability to forget and recall information, unless you run it on a quantum computer 1000 years from the future

@@chmuurkaa3030 storing basic data is easy, especially with a proper indexer. The birthdate of a guest who had their birthday party at the pizzaplex would be stored in the system, likely based on facial recognition (we know they had such a system because Freddy tried to find Gregory in said system before realizing he was locked out). Such a system would allow an animatronic to scan the face of a guest and almost instantly have access to all of the data that Fazbear Entertainment has on that person. There would be no need to store a birthdate in local memory when the information would be readily available from the servers at any given point, unless the AI felt it was necessary to store said information locally for some reason. So, as I said, the AI would only use a mnemonic device to store that data locally by implementing it into their neural network if it was something that they felt was very significant.
