I definitely agree that Sun wasn't in-game long enough. Moon was there quite a bit, but still more as an extra character to chase you and get you going. If the DLC would include more Daycare Attendant overall, I think that'd be a huge plus side to the character development. Maybe even more of an explanation why Moon chases you in the first place? Even though he could've very well been hacked, it would still be pretty helpful to have more information to theorize off of.

Roxy was such a interesting character for me, because she has a struggle with her self image and a clear low self esteem despite her arrogance. I thought that made her a really intriguing character even though she doesn't talk to the main characters often.

The main problem I find with Afton is just the fact that he is in the game. I think that it would have been better to have a new enemy or even just vanny controlled by glitchtrap, but having Scraptrap come back after fnaf 6 really downgraded the ending. He has basically become a meme and I'm worried that the whole "burning Afton" has kinda lost its impact, since now his death won't be really believable anymore

I would love love love a “director’s cut” version of the game, honestly. There’s such much unseen and wasted potential when it comes to content.

The characterization of the other Glamrocks is...weird. Freddy obviously gets the most cuz he's our ally. Roxy gets a decent amount as she's shown to be full of herself but also sporting self-esteem issues. Monty and Chica feel like they got a bit shafted when it comes to characterization. Monty is just "big, angry, gator man" and Chica doesn't really have much personality aside from sounding cheerful all of the time and eating garbage (though from a horror perspective those traits kinda work).

The only thing that I don't like about Vanny is that she showed up very little in the game. I feel she would have a lot more potential if she had a mechanic where if you stay in an area for too long, she would appear Edit: That's a lot of likes...0_0

I personally would've given Afton a 'D.' His design was great, and his cutscenes were really cool. But the mere fact that he was in the game really annoys me. It should've been Vannys game, not Aftons. I think i would've been OK with Afton being in the game if he was still in his Glitchtrap form. Maybe in the Afton fight, instead of Afton walking up to computers to hack Freddy, it was Glithctrap hacking Freddy through the screen, His face could flash up on screen, and when you tapped the button, the screen would short circuit instead.

I love how positive Dawko is about this game and most of his complaints are not seeing characters enough. This is by far the most polarizing fnaf game and it’s so refreshing to watch dawko who just genuinely loves this community and game series so much

How to make Vanny an S+ character?: Make her a *_constant and dangerous_* threat. How to do that? I've got a few ideas: She is always on the map, and she tries to find you by roaming around and watching the cameras. If you pass/stay in front of a camera, there is a *little* chance she starts chasing you from across the map, same if one of the main animatronics sees you (except special sequences like the Prize Corner security office or the West Arcade sequences) (it would also give an "excuse" for their bad AI). The only way to know where she is is to check for security cameras that glitches when she's near them. It would also make Freddy's line of "keep moving and try not to draw attention to yourself" way more important. Maybe all of this was a scrap idea, I don't know... Of course, all of this only starts after you see her for the first time at 1AM and access the atrium. Maybe after 2AM after Vanessa catches Gregory. And to know if she found you, you can hear her say "There you are" just like in the stage control office sequence. This would also make the game way harder when Gregory is just roaming around the Pizzaplex. And I know the game would have been delayed by something like 10 extra months, but I wish it was in the game.

I agree with the “controversial decision” by putting Afton (Springtrap) at S tier, not because he was “underdeveloped” in this game but his impact and importance in this franchise as a whole I consider to be essential to the integrity of this franchise, plus it’s kinda a huge shock and wow moment if you weren’t spoiled “the canon ending” Just saying, William Afton is a pillar that is essential to the structural integrity of this franchise, without him the franchise wouldn’t exist in the way we know it as of now Edit: holy smokes 100 likes in 2 hours?! Personally, I would have put Roxy in S. She arguably has more character shown throughout the entire game. Not only does she show her character at the start, but she also shows her character the most through gameplay related dialogue. She also shows the most character development, reactions to her situation, etc. Sure, she doesn't have a "boss-fight," but she arguably has the best intro sequence.

I think Vanny deserves the A tier rank mainly because of the added lore of the video cassettes. It gives more answers on how Vanny came to be despite the opposing theories of her being a different person or not. I'm just saying this because Dawko didn't seem to mention it.

If Coryxkenshin were to make a fnaf security breach character tier list, we all know where Monty would go

when it comes to whole tire Gregory is a robot theory kind of ruins his character. And making Gregory not just a symbolic crying child but a crying child replica just makes to franchise a little to complex. Where I thought security breach was supposed to be a soft reboot of the franchise, allowing newcomers to the series. if we keep on bring back the old characters again and again, we will doom the franchise by making it to complex for the casuals to follow the story and the old fans will will become tried of the see the retread of the same story. And plus does any one what the fnaf fandom being dub as a toxic fandom.

i really hope that when there is a DLC, Vanny will get more screen time. also, i was really wanting Vanny would be put in either the S or A list.

It’s sad that it wasn’t mentioned how withered/shattered Monty has possibly the best jumpscare in the game, probably because he never shows up, and he’s such a non threat compared to his non broken version (and if you haven’t seen the jumpscare, you can look it up, but he death rolls you… you know. Like how an ACTUAL alligator would kill its prey)

I’ve been waiting for this, and honestly this is pretty good. The only thing I’d say is Map Bot needs to be a whole new level above S because ✨map bot✨ I’d say that the miniature Music Man is intensely annoying, and I’d probably put it at A because it’s music man. The Withereds of this are intensely cool, but I think that Monty is just annoying (insert screaming of the suffering alligator), and Roxy’s amazing, but intensely annoying with her panic, but it’s pretty terrifying (in a good way) Chica, however, is cool, but she’s a bit annoying. All in all, I think that works best.

This is pretty unbiased. However, I still crave for more Vanny and Afton. You know, them planning their misdeeds and stuff could have been used as a cutscene and Aftons trailer voiceline could have been performed as well.

I agree with pretty much everything you said, I honestly wished that Sun could've gotten more time personally (me and a friend talked about how he didn't get a whole lot of time) but I think I get why, just really wished he had gotten more time, especially since he is so little in the game afterwards. Especially since he's my favorite out of all of the cast, personally just me since I have always been a fan of happy characters like him. Also he's sorta refreshing (personally to me idk if there's an animatronic like him, since I stopped following FNAF after sister location) I just think Sun/Moon are neat characters overall

Glamrock Freddy has to be my favorite of all the characters in Security Breach. Aside from him running out of battery, if you use him too much, and turning on Gregory, I say he’s the one character in the whole franchise that isn’t truly out to get/kill someone. Unlike the past animatronics, Glamrock Freddy is actually trying to help Gregory explore the pizza plex, especially when it comes to him getting out of the place. Simply put, Glamrock Freddy is awesome

I really hope that Steel Wool gives characters like Blobby and William a bit more screentime, because they basically came out of nowhere in the secret ending. Like you said, I hope we could see the Blob lurking around the pizzaplex from time to time, and evidence that William is actually lurking down in the pizza place, so his reveal could hit even harder.

I think I agree with majority of these. However, the "withered" animatronics are actually (popularly) called the "shattered" animatronics. I'm not sure if it's cannon but I've seen a lot of people name them that. Which makes sense.

6:25 To be honest, the one ending you have to get while looking in the files for running over mapbot ( kinda ) it might be a actual boss fight knowing that in one of the secret file endings you, like I said ( kinda ) run mapbot over. Maybe it might be a car driving boss fight something like we might've expected from the Roxy Raceway area.

I would personally put Map Bot on S tier just because of how hilarious and adorable they are! (If anybody disagrees with me, just know that’s perfectly okay and that I respect your opinion.)

I would pretty much agree with nearly every rating, except I’d rate Glamrock (unwithered) Chica an S just because her voice lines vary and are interesting if you pay attention! Despite being corrupted, she seems like she doesn’t have any anger or self esteem issues that she takes out on the player. She has the ‘eating’ bug, but that’s seemingly as far as her lashing out goes. Now, there is also a rare audio from her where she is seemingly sniffling or crying; it was in CrankGameplays’ video when I first saw it and it caught me off guard for sure. But I already liked her voice lines because again, she maintains a sweet front (trying to coax the kid out of hiding, lying about his parents/family, offering candy) most of the time, except for one particularly jarring line, “GREGORY” that scared the living hell out of me whenever I first heard it. She sounded like an angry mom! So yeah, it seems like she has an underlying insecurity which is intriguing to say the least. I personally found that more appealing than Roxy or Monty’s issues because it wasn’t so surface level. Great video!

I think for this game we needed a new big bad instead of Afton, but burnt trap is easily the most menacing version of Afton or any character in the franchise. The way he moves just screams power tbh

Gregory is a B-tier for me. There's still a lot we don't know about him until we get a little bit more info I can't really like his character but one thing that does help is the relationship between him and Freddy they kind of play off each other nicely. Very good chemistry and there was some relatable Parts with him like when he got jumped by map bot and you hear him say "I hate that thing" which is what all of us were thinking so that relatability is there

I think Glamrock Freddy is in my top 5 favorite characters in the whole franchise. I also really like the vagueness of his lore and Monty’s lore. For anyone who doesn’t know *spoiler alert* it’s rumored that Monty actually killed Bonnie and replaced him because the last time Bonnie was seen was going into Monty Golf (we know that thanks to one of the messages) and I just think it’s really interesting. Also another *spoiler warning* but Burntrap has such a great design

I didn't really think Vanny was that scary until I saw a clip of her sprinting animation, I thought up until that point she only skipped and was just a slow gainer but when I saw her run boy... Did that keep me up at night, I have never seen a run animation so scary in all my life

I'm curious. Do you think Steel Wool will start doing some kind of updates to SB, where they fill in some of the blanks to the original game by adding in new scenes, dialogue and other things to flesh it out more? They've already changed Freddy's mechanic in the Burntrap bossfight by making him chase you instead of just standing still, so I think additional changes to the game is possible, but I'm not a developer so I don't know how that would work on a technical and financial level. The game itself definitely needs some patching, but do you think something like gradual updates might ever become a possibility in the future? Or do you think they're just going to cram in a lot of unaddressed plot in the DLC.

Can't believe you didn't add giga monty/j I also agree with your tier list Dawko! Some of the characters are undeveloped and don't really put up much of a threat. Really wish we could have seen Vanny or Vanessa more often. Also don't believe Monty 'killed' Bonnie because we would have seen at least where Monty could have gone at the same timeframe. Plus we probably wouldn't have seen Monty because he would have gotten decommissioned for being very violent (in my opinion). Also would believe Vanny/Vanessa had something to do with it. Bonnie has been the most active and violent animatronic in the games so it makes sense. Maybe the night guard was in Monty's Gator Golf for some reason. Like a check up or something. Then, Bonnie being the most active, went towards them and attacked. Bonnie getting decommissioned and the guard could have deleted or even tampered with everything as to not seem reliable for the accident. (Don't get me wrong, Monty and Bonnie have been my favorites throughout the games).

The first DLC almost has to be free. We purchased it expecting the trailer and we got like 50% of it. I hope that the first DLC is just a continuation or they add a lot more to the night making it worth a replay, because honestly vanny and burntrap are like a D for me

I agree that almost every character is under developed, I honestly wish that we had some way to see Baby, Glamrock baby would be interesting, or something with Elizabeth. I don't think many people realize how important she is to the lore. I know she's technically ment to of been released in the fire, but I would really like the idea of the Afton family coming together. It would be an interesting turn to fnaf. Either way, steel wool did a fantastic job, I hope the DLC is well presented!

Jacksepticeye is playing the game right now and Vanny appeared in two places I hadn't seen in earlier playthroughs so I think they're already working on adding her back in. If you don't finish letting Freddy through the doors in time when he takes out the grate and you jump down Vanny comes skipping through the door. Also Vanny appeared in the main part of the Pizzaplex during one of the missions, I think it was turning on the main stage. Personally I agree with basically all your placements, but I'd raise Vanny to an S. She isn't perfect and she belonged in the game more, but I don't blame anyone since she was supposed to be.

I like the tier list. It's sometimes hard to judge when you're juggling both story and gameplay mechanics. I think Vanny/Vanessa was done really interestingly with the tapes you can listen to but as a gameplay mechanic, you can rarely run into them... Her mechanics don't evolve either and as a main villain, I think it's important for her to adapt over time. Maybe she could have been inside hiding spots like the booths with folding doors or behind curtains at photobooths. There would have to be a way to know she's inside but it has to be subtle. If you jump in while she's there you should get a jumpscare. Maybe if you alert bots too many times in a room she appears at the entrance and says "You've been causing quite a ruckus Gregory, mind if I join?" And then she goes searching for you by checking every hiding spot in an order of course. That way you can learn her movement. She'd be pretty dangerous.

I would have put afton, the blob and vanny at D and Vanessa at C. These characters are like The big deal and I feel like especially vanny and Afton should have been included a lot more. I also feel like there was hardly anything for Vanny. Vanny and glitchtrap are like the new purple guys and I didn't think there was enough of that.

I love that in every single FNAF video, it feels like Dawko is actually scared to criticize the franchise in any way.

To me, it's actually fine that Burntrap doesn't appear in SB a lot since normally final bosses only appear at the end of games.

How cool would it of been to see Burntrap get damaged after each fire section, like more and more of him falls of to show progress and for him to be actually finished off.....

I really hope Steel wool adds new scenes/content to the main Security Breach story tbh. From underdeveloped characters to out of nowhere plotpoints. Id love to see more Sunny/Vanny. And Id love to have more characterization of the glamrocks. Also I was disappointed by the lack of Glitchtrap in this game. I feel bad for steelwool though because it seems like they had to rush it out. I have no idea why though.

Hey, c’mon! Mapbot is a loveable comic relief!!

My view on Vanessa, Vanny and Afton Vanessa view: I will admit yeah she doesn't have so much character devlopment. I wish at some point that Vanessa actually knew about the whole Vanny situation and actually helped gregory in some way. But inside the game she was seen more as an enemy. I really felt like she could have travelled with gregory so she might say a few interesting things kinda like glamrock freddy. Other than that I am disappointed. Vanny view: I am deeply disappointed that she wasn't as much as a threat inside the game. I mean of course she's the biggest threat lore wise but I'm talking about gameplay. We barely get to see her. She is slow as flip since she hops and dances. And she literally only has one line when chasing us *Are you having fun yet*. I was hoping she would be that one character that you can't outrun and you have to rely on hiding to get away from her. If you know a game called Alien isolation I was really hoping Vanny would behave like the alien. Vanny would be very fast so you can't outrun her. She would also rely on hearing so you needed to be quiet. You needed to rely on hiding to get away from her. And you will have to mostly rely on her footsteps and talking to know where she is and when to hide. I was also hoping more cutscenes with her. Like she almost got Gregory but then something interrupted and she got pushed away or sometin. I was really disappointed. Because of this she is literally the worse threat character in my opinion. Afton view: Now I am totally fine with him appearing at the ending only. The ending could have been longer and maybe to survive it could have been more than just stay in one room. Like after burning afton enough times you then have to escape the place from the blob and afton while the fire spreads. Which brings me to the issue I have with him. Just like Vanny he isn't seen as much as a threat. I mean I'm ok with him only being at the ending but I was really hoping he would actually chase you physically instead of just trying to hack glamrock freddy. Like maybe after burning him enough times you would have to escape the building and when trying to escape he would like emerge from the fire and try to catch you. And when he's chasing fire will be surrounding you and the blob would have his tentacles infront and you would have to try and avoid them while afton is chasing you. And eventually when we got out a cutscene will play where afton trips on a tentacle trying to chase us and gets pulled up by the blob. I am extremely disappointed. I love Fnaf so much and I don't want it to be a disappointment. Thats why I'm hard on it.

I really do hope they add a dlc. It would be amazing to see more interactions and of course the characters, especially the ones that don't appear enough or have a lot of character to them. They still have so much potential to make the game top tier and I really do hope they use the criticism wisely.

brilliant tier list! the main difference i would've made to my tier list is having roxy and chica also being in S tier, but other than that spot on except map bot going up one or two cause of it being the main source of comedy i experienced when playing :D

I agree on most of these, the only exception being The Blob and Afton. Solid F tier for me. Love Afton's design, but the absolute destruction of FNaF 6's ending is way too unforgivable to me. What they should have done, imo is have a twist where the Pizzaplex was built on top of the Sister Location (hence, why it's underground), and it turns out that Glitchtrap is actually Elizabeth trying to carry on her dad's legacy, as was hinted in FFPS. I feel like having one person return from the fire is forgiveable, but the entire cast being back is just silly from my perspective... really dampens the impact of the original series.

Map Bot deserves #1 S Tier!

I think Security Breach is absolutely amazing. But I do think that FNaF should take a little bit of a scarier turn. For instance, think about Sister Location. Besides it being made in a 2d game engine, it was terrifying. The environment was fabulous for a horror game, dark and scary. But in Security Breach, the game isn't all that scary. I think it just turns FNaF into an action games series rather than a horror game series. I think FNaF should be a bit scarier. But I wouldn't be upset if the game continued like the way it is right now.

i honestly think Afton is one of the best characters in the game, i mean of course hes the main antagonist of the whole franchise. and seeing William back is pretty cool, and i really like that theory that the blob is the spirits of the kids he killed, that means that they finally got there revenge, if that's what happened when they pulled Afton up.

I think a fun little gimmick if the “At 5am replace the guard bots with the old and destroyed ones” was a thing, that they wouldn’t kill you but you would by chased by Vanny which would give her more significance in the game than she has going for her!
