Story: After Prey, Sonic has somehow escaped from Starved and Furnace into the past and has come back to tell Eggman all about it. After hearing the story, Eggman is horrified by the monster he has become in the future and gas even agreed to change his ways of evil and instead adopts a life of peace and nonaggression. Eggman decides to help Sonic save the day once again and sets out aloong with Sonic to find the time stones to prevent Starved from ever happening. The plan is a success and with the time stones secured, Eggman sends his best elite soldier, Mecha Sonic, into the future in order to stop starved once and for all. Furnace is destroyed, but Starved manages to escape. But with Starved's elite soldier out of commission, Sonic decides to take the fight to Starved and stop him once and for all.

"I have seen it all, Doctor. I have traveled between worlds and dimensions! This one isn't so different. I will conquer you and your little microwave here just like I've conquered everyone else I've seen! I AM THE MIGHTIEST! I. WILL. CRUSH. YOU!!!"

Who would win: A literal killing machine that needed two of the most popular video game characters to defeat him or a literal oven in the shape of sonic.

Interesting name for this song: Unexpected Savor Because nobody would expect Mecha Sonic to go against Eggman, plus it's a pun. Because savor sounds like savior

Have yall noticed how Furnace takes more design traits from Mecha than Metal Sonic?

OK fanmade story: Starved had gone to far. He keeps reseting time because of his sadistic hunger to eat sonic. Each time he goes back time changes bit by bit. This undoubtedly screws him over. Eventually in Prey true Good ending & prey good future. But instead of either of those taking place Mecha sonic from SMBZ after somehow reaching his goal in the SMBZ timeline decides to look for any challenges. This leads him to a timeline where ROBOTINIK WON? He decides he wants to see how powerful this robotonik is compared to all the pathetic others. He comes and takes sonics place knocking Sonic off stardust speedway. Everything begins with Starved being confused alongside furnace. Mecha on the other hand is embarrassed. As the battle goes onward Mecha realizes that the doctor only beat sonic through a fluke. Especially with this inferior hardware . He decides to give Robotinik a taste of real power by transforming into his 4 emerald super state. Before ultimately finishing the two nuisances off.

Not sure if this is SMBZ Mecha or not. But judging from the voice and the vocals I suppose it is. And if it is. Furnace won't last a second before getting smashed to pieces. 💀

Mecha:"scrap i got lost in that dimensional rift again!" Furance:"target spotted preparing the hunt!" Mecha:"the hunt? Oh how cute, TIME TO TAKE OUT THE TRASH!" *after furance is knocked out* Mecha:"foolish tin pot, i am the mightest!" Starve:"is that so?" Mecha:"what?" Starve:"you done even know your own fate... *laughs which slowly becomes more maniacal and crazy* Mecha:"fool do you even know *who* your up against!" *after that fight* Mecha:"foolish flesh bag, I AM THE MIGHTIEST!" *furnace tries to spin dash into mecha but mecha grabs him and throws him* Mecha:"fool! Back for more!" Furance:"i will be the one to rip you up myself and serve you to my master!" Mecha:"you tire me fool, your hardware is obsolete compared to mine, now allow me to show you what a machine like me is fully capable of!" *goes super* "I'LL CRUSH YOU!" *after the short fight* Mecha:"foolish mortals, i have grown tired of you and i will leave you to your demise" *leaves the dimension* Starve:"hedgehog!" *end*

I can imagine Mecha being intrigued by Furnance at first... Then he lands the first punch and Furnance head gets obliverated lmao. And don't even get me started on what he will do on Starved. Safe to say this timeline is saved.... Unless Mecha decides to blow it all to oblivion just for the heck of it.

The last thing you want to hear is that dreaded revving of Mecha Sonic's engines. If you do, you're as good as dead, especially so if you have a Chaos Emerald.

"I'll skewer you" doesn't have nearly as big of an impact compared to "I'LL CRUSH YOU". Mecha wins easy.

To commentors, keep in mind that SMBZ Mecha used to be the Metal Sonic everyone knows, except he went beyond insane. With this, he's technically fighting himself.

I can imagine this as a mod with the two actually fighting with every note you hit. Complete with form changes and other fun stuff like in 0:52

I like to imagine that Mecha got there after the combined power of the Mushroom Kingdom's Power Stars and Mobius' Chaos Emeralds were used to banish him to a world where Eggman had already won. (The logic being that a world where he won is a world where he already has the emeralds powering machines capable of killing anything in his path, including both Sonic and Shadow.) Upon his arrival, Starved sics Furnace on Mecha, believing him to be a rogue machine harboring a free meal within him. Unfortunately for Starved and his creation, they're both unknowingly charging headfirst into their inevitable doom.

[Since everyone's made stories for this scenario I'll also give it a go!] Due to the events of the game "Sonic Mania", Eggman's lab was pulled into a rift caused by the Phantom Ruby. Some of his inventions were scattered across different realms and realities in the process - including a dormant Mecha Sonic! The metallic doppelganger soon finds himself on Stardust Speedway... Mecha: "What? Is this... Stardust Speedway?" Furnace: "TARGET SPOTTED!!" Mecha (confused): "Target?! Wait, what are you?" (Mecha Sonic avoids a slash from Furnace's claws. He also notices the robot's design, which is remarkably familiar...) Mecha: "Cease this! I am Doctor Eggman's creation, not your enemy!!" Furnace (stil slashing): "Negative. Eggman signature is foreign. You are prey." Mecha: "Prey?! I'll make you regret this!" (After a short brawl Mecha Sonic manages to incapacitate Furnace) Mecha: "Is that your best? The doctor was sloppy when creating you..." Starved (approaching in his eggmobile): "Curious! I was wondering why Furnace was taking so long!" Mecha: "Doctor Eggman?! What happened to you? What is going on?" Starved: "A long story, but you don't need to concern yourself with that." (Starved flies closer) Starved: "I must say, I'm quite fortunate to have found you! I could use another Furnace! (His stomach rumbles) Mecha (glancing towards the subdued robot, then at Starved): "... You would convert me into THAT?! A shoddy kitchen utensil??" Starved: "I have no need for you as you are. You could become something beautiful instead!" Mecha: "I've heard enough! Even if you ARE a Doctor you certainly aren't mine! Your end has come!!" Starved (speeds off in his eggmobile): "You'll have to catch me first." (After a lengthy chase Mecha Sonic is ambushed by Furnace once again, after being led around the stage, but manages manages to avoid their attack) Mecha: "Is that your best? How's this!!" (Mecha Sonic reveals a chaos emerald inside his chest, which arroved with him through the portal. Drawing power, he enters a semi-super state) Furnace: "Power readings irregular. Unexpected variable." Starved: "A chaos emerald? How interesting... Furnace, be a dear and liberate it!" Mecha: "I'll crush you!!" (Mecha retaliates once again but is unable to completely finish Starved or Furnace. With just a single emerald his semi-super state begins to fade) Mecha: "Enough of this!" (He blasts off, rerouting his remaining energy to his thrusters) Starved: "NO!! Furnace, stop him!!" Furnace (sparking from damage and struggling to fly): "U-u-unable to c-c-c-comple-e-e-e-" Starved (Furious): "HEDGEHOG!!" Mecha: "I wonder if that portal is still open..."

so my guess is that starved somehow brought mecha sonic here to reprogram him and make him the ultimate animal cooker.

I know everyone says that Mecha Sonic would win so to make things fair and much more interesting. Let’s say that while Mecha Sonic has the Chaos Emeralds, Starved has the all of the time stones and Furnace Sonic has all of the Sol Emeralds (because fire). And let’s say, like how Mecha Sonic can become Super Mecha Sonic, Furnace Sonic is able to become Burning Furnace Sonic. This paired with the fact that Starved can potentially negate any damage done to Burning Furnace Sonic as well as counter any time related abilities from the Chaos Emeralds, who would win in a fight and/or race?

Mecha sonic but OG or mecha sonic but an oven (and yes, furnace is mecha sonic, not metal, looking at his body shape is the dead give away, its sonic 3 and knuckles, not CD) so furnace could stand more of a chance against his megalomaniactic counterpart for much longer than people think (furnace also was able to one shot classic sonic, who isnt a push over)
