I bought the version before this one HS01 on my own. Best iron I ever used. Heats up so fast. Much more convenient in every way for my uses in automotive.

Thanks for the tip, just bought mine. I'm using the similar iron GVDA GD300. I like this FNIRSI better mainly because it has the cover cap.

I got a Sequre iron out of curiosity last year after it was on this channel. Its far better than I thought it would be, ended up using it for almost everything. The t12 tips seem to last really well too. Rapid heating and the auto standby sensor makes it so frikn convenient.

Currently waiting on mine to be delivered, agonizingly slow from China. Will be replacing my TS80P, which maxes out at 30w. To be used with my ZMI Power Bank that can easily drive it at 20V 100W without breaking a sweat, it maxes out at 210W with 2500mAh total capacity, 100W per port @ 20V & 5Amps. Not a cheap power bank, but one of a select few that can actually charge up a laptop using USB C. The cartridges being directly compatible with JBC C245's, makes for a lot more tip possibilities, where the TS80P still only has the 5 proprietary ones since its launch. Edit. Just arrived earlier, tested with a FNIRSI FNB58, and it works AWESOME!!! Really fast heating up and maintaining temp while soldering. Tested calibration on a 191 Thermometer Tester, and all 3 set channels were spot on their set temperatures, 350°C ,380°C and 420°C Out of all the tips, I'm really prefering the small knife KU. Perfect for general use.

Thanks for the review! I just moved across continents and had to leave my Weller WES51 behind, so I'll go ahead and try this one instead. It reaches temps faster than my old Weller and holds its temps better as well. Impressive. And if this works off a power bank it's portable too. Not sure I will have much use for that, but it's a nice bonus.

My biggest concern with the various new "smart" type of irons is that they all use proprietary (different, incompatible) tips that seem to have limited availability after a year or so.

It uses JBC C245 style cartridges, and is compatible with JBC originals. This platform has a huge variety of tips, and available all over.

Don't need another corded iron .... I bought a cordless one from temu for 10 bucks , works good and you don't have to drag a power cord around with you like when working under a car dash... lasts for about 20 mins on highest settings....

I have a similar one with its base station (you tested it 2 or 3 years ago... the base station was so bad that it was disturbing the image of your cathodic ray tube desk clock). The problem with it is that the tips are very cheap but the surface tratment is also very cheap, so they oxydate very quickly. You must constatly use the brass sponge to keep them clean.

Very similar to the Pine PINECIL. I prefer to use the PINECIL to a Hakko FX-888D for lighter circuit board work as it's more nimble to use.

Thanks, but it would have been better if you'd tested it at full power - you had the power setting on 65%! (although you'd of course also need a 100W supply - did you say you only had a 60W supply?)

I assume you could use this with a portable power bank so you can use it outside easily as well. That is really neat.

Just ensure it's a Power Bank with the required protocols and specs. Cheap ones are a waste as it needs at least 9V to run. Most popular banks go up to around 20W PD. A decent one is quite expensive, but then is compatible with much more, even powering a laptop in the case of my 210W ZMI Power Bank.

Look like c115 tips. I’m interested to see the chisel tip work. I paid $40 for a JBC one and it was total shyt. Won’t hold solder on the point. Get a silicone pot grabber and hot swap the tip
