Various electrical gremlins affecting this 2014 MK3 Focus including intermittent non start, battery going flat and can't turn the engine off.

Awesome job there mate , I believe I had a very similar problem with a Kuga , I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same system but I remember everytime I tried to operate the left window the wing mirror would fold in 👍👍👍

I have something similar, my battery keeps getting drained and im clueless to whats causing it, ill be doing a parasistic test later today.

Yes, definitely worth doing that first. These do take a quite a while to settle down and go to sleep so be patient 👍

Ford dealer. The repair harness and connector for the bcm they don't sell. I got lucky and found someone with some left over bits.

The problem I currently have with a 2017 Focus RS is the body control module went completely dead.. there's no way to grab any information from it, to copy it on to a new body control module even with ford Fjds.. It just throws out the immobilizer.. sadly

I've never used the Ford system so can't advise. Can't the main dealer program it for you?

Hello man. Maybe you can help me. I have a 2017 ford escape. My car has remote start installed but it doesn't work. I read the dtc errors and see b10ff:14h-2f in the bcm block. Maybe you know how or where I can fix this? Additional Information. An additional anti-theft system is installed in the car. maybe it can affect the remote launch.

Hello what did you use on connector plug ...silicone grease ?

No, it's a dielectric grease specifically for electrical connections. I can't remember where I got it but I've had it for years now. Don't use normal silicone grease. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍😬

@@Automotive_Solutions thanks for response ,can I ask the washer pump,herd of this issue ,so new pump and then did you replace the pump connector and crimp connector it back on ?

@@davidwaters5348 yes, fitted new pump then cut the wiring to it and fitted crimp connectors to prevent it happening again 👍

Iv done the instrument cluster in August But I have issues I still have the U1900 lost communication and my main problem is the dashboard light stay on 24 hour they never are of I got new battery 2 Months ago and now is flat any idea why?

Did you get a guarantee with the instrument cluster? Might be worth getting it checked again. There could also be a wiring fault in the car so that would need checking too. Good luck 👍😁

I use a subscription service for remote programming. Trade only tool.

Hi I have a second-hand Focus MK2, a 2011 Focus ，but it don't have clutch switch,I can't find the wiring for installation， Maybe the previous owner hid the wiring harness, so I hope to find the source of this harness, such as where it connects to the BCM, to find the harness or relocate it. I have a MK3 1.6 ecoboom that had water ingress on bcm which is coming either from under windscreen or possibly from that washer wiring, where should i look for washer pump wiring water ingress as all plugs look fine, def been water on bcm board tho. Any other spots under the cowl ur aware of that cause water ingress?

I've only seen the washer pump wiring loom being at fault but it could be coming from somewhere else. Can't help really 👍

@@Automotive_Solutions thanks, will take another look at it. Been sat in my garden since 2017 😝, basically was a write off due to the water ingress causing bcm issues which affected fuel pump. Ford quoted 3-4k, garage i bought it from washed their hands immediately. So gonna have a crack at it myself, should be fun!!

@@Plankd havent had time to pull it apart as yet. However further research has revealed the seam sealer could be failing in roof rails and also in boot, so perhaps I'll look into that. But for now its a garden ornament 😂

Hi buddy, got issue with cluster, intermittent loss of speed, rev counter fuel, temp, and message board, on the bcm, which plug is it that covers the cluster part of the bsm, is it bottom left, that has blue under it mate, could this be the issue, or could it be the cluster itself buddy

You need a full code read of the vehicle to get an idea where the fault lies. It does sound more like the instrument cluster is the issue. Pretty common on the Focus. 👍

@@Automotive_Solutions cheers for that buddy, yeh it's weird, when they stop working, sometimes pressing the windscreen defrost activates dash to work again, and when driving and they are working, when i brake and slow down, it suddenly stops working but restarts when setting off, can work one day and a soon as it goes dark and I turn lights on, it starts messing around again

Hi , I have a 2014 mk3 focus . All of a sudden all my drivers side indicators failed to work apart from an eratic flashing dashboard indicator light - passenger side indicators all working fine - when I turn hazards on only passenger side indicators flash - any ideas please ? Thanx v much .

All the lighting runs through the bcm. Have you had any bulbs changed recently? If the bcm is dry then you need to chase a wiring/bulb fault.

@@Automotive_Solutions I have recently changed my brake lamp bulbs because I was getting brake lamp bulb fault warnings on dash even tho all brake lamp bulbs were working - very confusing - thank you for your reply 👍

@@debbiewright2171 double check you've fitted the correct bulbs as it can confuse the bcm.

@@Automotive_Solutions hi , I swapped my left hand indicator bulbs for the ones that were in the right side and vice versa and it solved the problem - how bonkers is that !!

Ford focus mk3 2011, wont start anymore. Windows wont go down, trunk doesn’t open anymore. And i got 2 DTC’s : B10C0 and B1026. Someone that can help me out

The fuse also feeds the glove box light, sun visor lights and interior light. If they all work then you need to check the bulbs/wiring to the footwell lamps.
