We won the cups with brown as the captain , if guys emulate brown we are tough to play against . Kopitar is so rare a player no one can emulate,and if they try and fail we are easy to play against . We do need a fiery captain, and we do need kopitar as a second or 3rd line center , and just win !

5th in selke again, even though he's lost a step he's still a top 15 center in the league. He's becoming more of a scoring threat in his later years in my opinion. With his defensively sound game even if his point production wanes he's still a valuable player. Get the hockey guy on for an interview already

There is no current Kings player that will replace Kopitar. Byfield is a good player but I don’t see him at his best, surpassing Kopitar. The Kings will need to draft or trade for a Kopi replacement. With PLD staying there won’t be one for a while that the Kings will be able to add.

Yes, everyone like KopiStar for many reasons. However, he has managed to lose 3 first rounds in a row. Of course, the argument is he did his job but the other players didn’t do their jobs to win. But as a Captain, apart of his job is to somehow to get his teammates in synch to win games. His job is to speak up if somebody loafed or isn’t following team tactics. Did he do that? We don’t know. He certainly needed to have plenty of talks with loafer and deadbeat PLD who refused to put out in the ice. Did he speak out or not? Who knows? There are secrets we fans don’t know. I tend to think there was a rift with Kopi and PLD. They might have become estranged and incommunicado with each other. Yes, the Kings don’t have a center that can do 70 points right now. The only option then Kopi keeps his job and gets his entitled big paycheck. Too bad Blake put himself into this whole mess with personnel that can’t win round one. The Kings remain a non-elite team, and mediocrity is the present story.

The Kings are SOFT under his leadership. Dustin Brown was a HITTER. 2 Stanley Cups under him.

I think the Captaincy is wearing Kopi down too much... Time for the next era to take over... As for head coach...we need a Torts type...so he can either put a fire under #80 to either suit up and play with some fire and passion or pack his bags for the next team.... Everyone here knows which I'd prefer...but Hell doesn't have a team yet...but they have all the refs...

Ya 7million dollar contract team friendly for a 37 year old ya sure Eddie it should have bin more like 5 million come on kopi but that's blake for ya I would have traded anze if he wanted a dollar over 5 million 💯
