Thank you so much for this video! I love your channel so much since I just started my loc journey back in October 2021. Just last weekend I did my wash and retwist by myself since I’m currently deployed. Normally I’ll go to my loctician for a wash and retwist since I’m so scared that I’m going to mess up my hair but overall it when great. But one of the things I was having issues with was the clip placement and trying to not hurt myself or pull little strains of hair when placing the clip so this video was much needed and thank you very much again for sharing your knowledge! Keep up the good work!

This video came just in time! I plan on doing self maintenance to my locs after my 9 month mark on the 29th and I’ve always been iffy about my clip placement. Thank you for mentioning the tip about clipping downwards for thicker locs! You and your locs are gorggg

Thank you so much for this! I loc'd me and my daughter's hair both 4 months ago, and I struggle so much with the way I place the clips! I also never knew about using mousse and tieing our hair down before sitting under the dryer. I'm definitely going to try these tips ❤

just wanted to say i finally started my second set of locs after 5 years from watching ur vids!! u inspired me to get started again, i started w/ coils using ur airplay to tv method (that shit is genius btw) and i'm already loving how they're coming out and it's only been 2 weeks 😭

Your hair is looking really good. Just twisted my hair 3 days ago to start my journey. Then I thought about you on the 20th lol....after watching a bunch of your videos and a few others I was like, I think I want them smaller LOL. Literally told myself I wouldn't have my hands in my hair but I definitely split about 15 twists and made them smaller going from 40 something twists to I believe an even 70! I'm really excited about the whole process and I thank you for showing us your process and what you go through....even if it's taken 4 different tries! LOL love it!

Great informative video on clip placement. I’m 4 months In, the end of the month. I haven’t worked up the nerve to retwist my myself. I probably won’t until I’m a year in or close to it. But, I definitely plan on it and think it’s important to know! Your hair looks great! Love the half up down look! Thanks for sharing!😉☺️

Hey there,, I have triangular parts as well and they do fall Fuller even though I'm 5 months in. My location purposely did it that way to give me more body even though my natural loose hair was really thick anyway 4C. I have med to small locs.

Curious to know if the gel flaked or how it held up after day 1. The hydration mist and oil are a little to heavy for me and I prefer gels with aloe consistency but am so curious about nia’s gel and jelly.

I'm sorry I'll be that person lol I didn't like her products for my hair! And I've tried a few products... the mist made my hair feel sticky, the gel left flakes, and the loc butter did nothing for me! I really wanted to like the products smh
