Great Stuff! well done bud! Another thing I add to levelling up, is to wait till when the neighbors' change on the second week on a Monday, so you have two weeks of being an era ahead of them. Just something I do!

Finally, after couple months of a gameplay, I found a precise, reasoned answer to the question when to age up. Not a vague "Well, when you have accumulated 1k goods/built up your GBs at level 10th/you do not have free space anymore...etc" - but prooved instructions, in 1 go explaining GE, events and BG - thank you so much!

I enjoyed the video and there is some great information and advice in regards to hoarding resources before jumping. The advice given however is not for players who get advanced age military units in every age. It is always better when camping to be using military units from at least one age up which requires only researching techs that are required in quests, saving a lot of research AND advancing the map.

Foe is a very complex and strategic game if youre not prepared to take on. Many ive met always rush the tech tree to surpass ages. And those who do, didnt have the resources to prepare for the next age...and face tougher units that are one age above thiers. Especially when activate military tactics. All in all foe is a great social platform😃

Few people realize this, but special event upgrade kits count as one-up or renovation kits, if you didn't know. I purposely left my Gov Villa at level 8 until I went to LMA so it saved me a reno/one up kit.

This was super helpful, I'm a new player, and I leveled up right in the middle of an event, so I had to spend half of it getting the forge points to research military buildings to finish a quest.... worst mistake ever

Hi Liliana, they are all great advice. Nothing to say about them. Now here is an advice from someone who is in futur era: champions and your heavy PME units are both exactly as good. So don't waste your FP and goods in rushing that tech, just put a champion refuge and let your traz do the all job for you :) Also in CE, champions are better than heavy CE units. So don't spend your FP in rushing that tech either.

I'm totally aging up tomorrow right at the beginning of the event and no one can stop me! For real though, it's a bad idea unless you can work through the tech tree immediately. I don't age up unless I have the FPs to get through the whole thing even if I'm not doing it during an event. I also have a ton of goods from the next age because of the Truce Tower and trading down SAAB and SAV goods I get from aiding guildies.

a couple questions from the 8th minute in the video. Why would a quest ask for production of previous age goods production? I haven't encountered this before unless it is the immediately previous age to what I am in. Also, can you elaborate on the need for previous age champions for GVG? I read the FOE Fandom entry for Champions retreat which mentioned this but I didn't get the context there either. Thanks.

Some ideas: - Before aging up: Fill the FP counter in all technologies of the next age - Get enough goods to last a few days in the new age and for all technologies in the next age - Progress the world map a bit ahead of your age until it stops being easy, mainly to be able to get the expansions early - Wait for thursday morning until guild battlegrounds start. - Then unlock everything and try to get to the best unit of the age. - I personally wouldnt use up much of the saved up forge points, once you have 200+ fp you should get enough fp to set up your age until the next battlegrounds start. You are like 800-1000% prepared, 100% might be enough though :D

Wish I knew about your videos or any of the others before I started playing. I will be stuck pretty much where I am now for a long time. At least from what I have been told by others. I've been playing about 2.5 years. I'm currently stuck in the Postmodern Era. All the tech is completed and I can age up. So many things I never knew, like I never knew you could get and build great buildings well beyond your current age, so I kept aging as I went. Yes I got stronger troops and more higher level goods for opening the tech tree and GB's. I've advanced too far now, and my armies are too weak to open any more of the world map. My story line is stuck until I can move forward / age more. For my GB I have the following ARC = 14 TRAZ = 11 CDM = 16 COA = 16 LOA = 12 Zeus = 18 GALTA = 8 CHAT F = 6 OBS = 4 ST. MARK = 11 TOR = 10 I generate about 90=120 FP a day. What should I focus on? ARC to get more FP TRAZ for more troops for doing GE / GBG ( I can get thru GE3, GE4 is too tough at this point) or your 3 key building (Zeus/CoA,CDM) for more ATT power

I haven't experienced what you're saying about the map. I've been in Iron age for literally 2 years and I'm in industrial age in my continent map. My quests have never changed, recurring or otherwise. The only time they have changed was about a month ago when I finally researched military tactics and unlocked pvp/ gbg (yes, I have played for 2 years without that unlocked). To me, that suggests the quests are tied to the research tree and not the map.

Great video! I'm in Colonial and plan to be here a while. I have very few Bronze and Iron Age goods in my coffers. Do I need any? Should I be trading for them or focusing on trading for previous (HMA), current, and next Era goods?

I notice you have a The Lord's Manor, any reason why? it gives 1 fp per 8 squares so i thought it was bad... Are these type of buildings actually good if you have nothing better to put in the space?

Hi Lil, thanks for the great video again! I can't wait for your advice on GB strategies. I am currently working on my CDM (after Zeus and Aachen) to have a decent 100% or so attack bonus, and at the same time slowly leveling my Arc, now on level 6. Should I go for CF which I really want, or focusing on the Arc? Also leveling Arc up to 80 sounds like the most boring thing, takes so much time! Before spending hundreds of fp on researching the next era (I'm in HMA) I really don't know which path to take.

Thank you for this video. was wondering if i should age up now since ive been sitting in HMA for months now lol. one thing i dont see me beeing able to have is alot of fp packages and a really big stock of goods as i 1. dont get alot of packages since i dont do swap threads and my arc is lvl 3 lol. 2. i use up goods every week with ge and gbg as i only really have millitary great buildings yet. but i guess ima have to deal with that in early ages

Will you be doing one on how you produce so much goods? You have been doing a good job on these videos.

Terrace Farms are now superseded by the Level 8 Terracotta Vineyard plus a Lavender Field (both will give 12 fps (24 with a BG successful hit) but you get the added bonuses from the TV). Tribal Squares are now outdated. If you've got a sufficient stock of goods in the 3 previous ages before you jump, you won't ned them. Plus there's Sleigh Builders, the Star Gazer, Wishing Wells, countless event buildings, the LoA - all provide goods. Plus of course level your CF and do RQs Personally, I like to jump up when I'm completely fed up looking at the same town hall (lol) provided I've got sufficient goods and a stack of fps for the tech tree. There's no hard and fast rules. Even if you make a mistake you can always play catch up. GE will give you troops. Your buildings will provide goods. Traz will give you rogues, or another form of military unit if you need some whilst waiting for GE.

Just curious.. Why not also use GE as a measure for when to age up. In other words.. When you have enough attack bonus to fight all the way thru GE then that should also be a consideration for moving up.

Yeowza! Over 1,200 GBG fights? My guild on Birka just ran all over the competition and made it into the top 10 guilds today. But our biggest fighter only won about 100 or so fights total. And everything in your era's so big. TOR looks like a baby compared to its surroundings and it'll easily be the largest structure in my city once I place it. Anyhoo. Thanks for the vid. I was fortunate on the timing of this since I was getting the itch to move into EMA but didn't know when. Now I have a date and some goods goals to push for in the meantime. I have one question. Between my guild, friends and neighborhood, there's no stone from BA being traded right now. Is there a way of getting it w/o going an inefficient route like producing non-boosted goods myself or using that greedy 10:1 merchant?

The TF is getting an upgrade along with the other GE exclusinve buildings. The level 2 TF gives 12 FP, according to the fandom wiki, but I haven't been able to find any official confirmation on it.

I'm almost at late middle ages, I've been trying to go through the eras as quickly as possible mainly because other players keep griefing my goods buildings and now I need stronger troops to keep those trolls at bay LOL The royal bathhouse I just got from my first Ancient Egypt playthrough and it's well worth it! One random unit, (When motivated) 2 FP and 9,360 coins at level 1.

so turns out i really screwed myself over by having low supply production while parking in hma. i quickly ran out of supplies and now trying my best to produce as much as i can. 40k supplies 3,4m coins. nice balance there eh

Hi Lil, useful video, thanks. I'm in HMA currently, thinking to age up to LMA . I have 500 of all Bronze Age goods, 1k of all Iron Age goods, 5-600 of EMA goods (working on topping these up) and 1k of all HMA goods. I have a lvl 10 Zeus, a 7 CoA and a 7 CdM and a level 6 Arc (newly acquired). My plan is to get all these GBs to 10 before I level up, so I'm thinking early in the New Year. Does that sound like a good strategy to move to LMA to you? Or should I wait a bit more first?

Now I am in LMA and the server started in November 2019 I started a month later... many players are in Ocean future... why? Also I was able to fight across all maps to the era before modern age... in LMA ... Also do this calendar for every month please, just calendar... day two before months end

What you've said is totally fine & i agree with it but as a new player like me in the IA, & having a good stock of FPs & some goods, i'm planning to jump directly to HMA skipping EMA, i got some EMA goods from trading btw ... was planning to level up next Tuesday 5th of May, sitting more 2 weeks in IA i feel like wasting time, also looking to get event buildings & rewards for HMA instead of IA ... so what do u think

You must have a pretty good guild to get all those advance great buildings? And what everosaid here - wow, I was going to age up when I got 2000 of each good. My Chateau is only10 and working on that now. ARC IS 72.

seems to be to have success or decent battle fun you have to sit still in an era for months on end just producing goods , building up GBs and supplies.

This came up as the 1st vider in my feed! And I was just wondering when you'll move up to the frigid Arctic Future? I am going to have my AO at 85 in 2 days! I'm so excited; But I also wanted to mention as you know how having you CF up as soon aa ARC 80 and possible? Well In my second city that's an active city I camped in CE for 6 months but I had to move up to Tomorrow because I needed the diamonds to get a ferris wheel to full level 10! But in that world wow! It's so great as With the CF at 70; I get so many coins and supplies! But it's like in my main city where I'm staying in Mars for well Idk but it's probably my final era! Because the recurring quests and CF don't work like they used to! Ever since I got to Virtual and then Mars it's like the large coin reward doesn't fulfill fnord! And once you get to AF you get a second supplies recurring! It's less supplies than Spink but in VF and Mars You don't get enough supplies on the large reward to fulfill Supplies! And also I asked around and if I were to move up I'd be in top hoods which hood snipe profit is impossible without an ARC 150! And then it's such small profit! OF was the last hood group that was crazy high on the profits but I make do with Mars I just don't see why that anyone would want to move up as profits go down and ugh SAAB is the worst space age! But I love having the Egyptian Bathhouse and governors villas because they make moving into new eras so much easier! But in the eras below AF and OF you can up everything but once to AF and OF you wanna have a balance since you're going to need goods for the Arctic Harbour ship and then you need to keep loads of stuff in AF while in OF because with stuff like HC/SC you'll get lots of OF goods but you need a source of goods for Arctic Harbour! But I hope all well! Oh the summer event this year is going to have a HUGE base building that's a chain building! The pirate hideout has 9 levels and is 5x6! It looks neat but it will have 3 attachments same size as the Vineyard attachments 5x2! The boats, piers, and sharks!

I am in late Middle Ages and have a complete BP for the Ark. How can I get the supplies for that era without spending diamonds ?

I'm in Contemporary era. Few people told me that I should remain in it as much as possible. I was thinking of upgrading my Arc to lv 80 and then move on. Currently it's on lv 36. And as for the Continent Map, I'm on the Future continent, having 9 out of 12 provinces conquered. I probably would have gotten all of them by now, but I'm just too lazy to trade goods that I need. 😆😆😆 Do you have any videos on how to maximize your space and basically how to keep the city in order, cause mine is just cluttered with crap.

Advising players to move up an era during the second week of GBG is bad advice imho. GE starts on a Tuesday BUT, you have 6 days to complete it. Moving up an era on a Thursday, after GBG starts, is better as you enjoy an entire season facing lower era units AND your current GE will be much easier. You then have upto 10 days to gather goods & units before the next GE ends, which will be at your new era, which is plenty of time to get that done. You're right about not moving up at the start of an event, although my advice would be to wait until the event is finished before moving up an era, just don't build and/or upgrade your new event building(s) until after you have moved up. That way, when you do upgrade it, it will automatically upgrade to your new era, this will save you having to use a One-up/Reno kit on it.

Im at the end of EMA on the research tree and the only GB i have is the Oracle, should i wait till i get some more?

Good video. but. With Ge, keep in mind that your rewards will be of the previous era as well. not good, but kind of depends on your attack boost. With GBG, this is fine, since you can't get previous era goods that are now totally useless. Also, in lower ages, you want to consider neighborhoods as well. you want to be above your neighborhood until LMA or later. That helps, but should not push you into the next era. the new neighborhood starts with Monday every two weeks. not sure how that lines up with GBG though. Finally, If you are in a good guild, you will probably be able to get previous era goods. Also, do you have a problem with trading with your guild? I have a trading loop with two other people that provides me with all the current and previous era goods I need. Again, great video, but I felt the need to put in other things that I consider.

REALLLY THINK about WHY are you waiting to level. If you have your higher buildings from trading at a decent level. What is making you wait. If you have the 3 main fighting buildings.(60-80) Truce. Traz. H castle (for supplies) go for it. Of course arc. Use Truce to get higher goods. Trade down doubling each time. Even if you don't have truce. If you have around 4 buildings that give a decent amount of goods. Sleigh builders are nice. Terra farm gives variety but large. Up those buildings to the level with you. (ex 25+ goods) They build up fast. As you prepare you can keep some buildings a little below you. They still want you to have 3 level goods below your in. But again. Can do continued trading down. Stage of ages is great. Star gazer too if you have it. Some talk about fighting is an issue. If you have Traz switch out a couple troop buildings that you like. Or even 1. You get troops from your new era. Which is fighting troops from the era you are in. So your fighting the same. But if you have your 3 fighting buildings high. You have the advantage from the beginning. I know the NORM is never level fast. But yet again. Why not. I have 2 cities. I stayed at progressive to prepare myself to level fast. Using Truce for goods. Build up some FP.. Went up to Future in between events. Then used my renovation to move my main buildings up to that level. Stayed there till I get the map up to that era. You build up things as you do the map. Artic up you have to do mining or shipping so it slows you down anyway. But same logic. Why stay to long in any era if you can prepare yourself .With how the game is making it hard to get a finished event building by the end of the event anymore. Diamonds are harder to get from wells. Everything is fragments. focus on leveling. Use the timing tips she gives. But really think what is the point of waiting.

Note that when you renovate Terrace Farms their population increases significantly, and in middle eras this can throw you out of a "happy" populace. So for example if you are using them primarily for FPs don't renovate them!

Lil, I got lost when you said wait til the second week of gbg. Both Ge and gbg ended for me today. No events running. Why do I have to wait for week 2 of gbg? Run that by me again, if you have time. It seems I’d be missing contributing for the first week, but I’m sure I’m not getting the big picture. So many considerations! I’m going from LMA to colonial if that matters and already have about 1700 of each. My stock of LMA is giant...over 40k each. I have plenty of one ups but not completely clear how many I’ll use. Unfortunately I don’t have a stargazer and my cf is good but not at your level. Neither is my Traz. Seems like I will take more time to get good troop levels as a result. The amount dropped in Ge is unpredictable and not sufficient for my bloody battles. I mostly use champions and rogues. Do I really need multi era champs? Are these 800 LMA champs going to become useless fighting colonial troops? I use artillery a lot, so will need to unlock them. I’ve been cycling too for ages but think I lose recurring quests once I start the quests related to moving thru colonial. Abort side quests but do story quests? Can I get them back later? What about bonus quests? I’m so confused!
