I put the remote in my pocket without turning it off, and when I climbed up out of the water on a ladder near a concrete wall, the button depressed and my board went full speed into the wall. Lots of dings. Luckily I did not get hurt. Shit always happens when I'm tired.

Surprised you didn’t mention the Gen2 connectivity issue with Armstrong boards.

Totally forgot! My fault and thank you for bringing it up. Yes - the carbon stringers in Armstrong boards block the signal making it tough to use. Hence - why we're riding a Jimmy Lewis. We recently saw a video that leveraged tin foil - attached with packing tap (down the mast track box - then up the edge of the board). We haven't been able to test that out yet but are hopeful. Great catch and thank you for bringing it up. Apologies! Tim

I noticed foil drives units come with tappered head screws. How does it match up with the armstrong steup which uses flat head screws? Did you have to buy longer flat head screws?

No pumping, can you with the foil assist bolted on.

Hi Rob - I"m sure exactly what your question is but yes - with the foil assist you can get out to the waves without pumping. That said - the ability to pump can help you position yourself on the wave. Have fun Tim

No -- and -- he was on a pintail board. Additionally, he was being fairly aggressive in terms of getting into a steeper wave. Wave selection is key and....personally...I like a little more tail on the board when prone/foil drive. Stay safe and have a great time!
