Don't think there is a story in this performens, because Hopak was traditional Cossacks combat art, later with some different elements of it dancing Hopak was born. Dancer should be training for years to do this moving, but there's a couple simplest, that children who learn to dance can do after several months. But, unfortunately, there were the elements, nobody can do now, despite of the fact, we have some very old footage of it. It's like to learn Kung Fu using video- it's not enough, you must to have somebody who teach you. Thanks for the reaction! Keep training😅❤

Hopak is a Cossak dance. Cossaks were professional warriors in Ukraine. Kinda like ninja or samurai in Japan. And they had their own "moves" - these moves were added as the basis of Hopak - that's why they look so hard to perform - those are basically not dance moves, but battle moves. Initially, during festives, Cossaks just performed what they could with music - that's how Hopak was born. The story of this Hopak is simple - imagine its a town fair and local youths are dancing, guys trying to perform their best moves to the girls😂

Hopak is an ancient martial art of the Ukrainian Cossacks. All these jumps, lunges, attacks, cuts are all elements of martial arts encoded in the dance. In ancient times, Cossacks trained like this. since in ancient times this dance was danced exclusively by men. Watch another ancient dance "The Creeper" and then everything will become clear to you. What you see now is just a modern stage interpretation of an ancient martial dance.

It's cute how you tried to jump, but actually this is the most dificult move (aside from the four guys earlier). You have to do a spagate in a jump and stretch you arms to your feets. That's extremely dificult

Этот танец учат около 15 лет, что бы вот так выйти и танцевать) это огромный труд, физические возможности человека)) Есть школы в Украине, где на базе этого танца, идёт обучение и боевых элементов) типо "карате" по украински))
