I saw Carrie as Fantine. My mum, who's a long-time superfan of Les Miserables, didn't think that anyone could sing 'I dreamed a dream' better than the original. Carrie Hope Fletcher, I kid you not, your spectacular performance made my mum cry from happiness. And I didn't see you as Veronica, so seeing you live with such an iconic song was what I was most excited about the whole day :-) Thank you for being so awesome! And good luck for your next show!

Carrie! I need to tell you immediately! 😱 You have inspired me so so much over the past few years, and now I've done it! 😭 I got into drama school! I'm making me dream come true, that has grown over the years by watching you - and in fact, meeting you (e.g. my Addams Family vlog!). I used to work at a coffee shop and we would clean the milk steamers when they stopped working as well by steaming a cup of water with it, that might help yours. Also, great video!

I got weirdly retrospective watching this video. I found your channel just before you were about to leave Les Miserables for the first time. I was in high school then and now I'm about to start my senior year of college! We've both grown so much! I love your videos! Thank you for making them for all these years, Carrie. I was lucky enough to come and see the show last night. It was weird seeing Carrie not playing Eponine, but she made a fantastic Fantine too! The show was amazing, and I think the music from the concert is actually better than the full production. I guess as they have to concentrate less on staging they can focus more on the music. Also Carrie was so lovely at stage door, such a privilege to meet you yesterday ❤️

Tessi M there is less physical set and the staging is different to the full production. They’re all still in costume but most of the time they just sing in to microphones at the front of the stage although there are a few exceptions. There isn’t as much moving around either and the cast sit on the stage on tiered seated for most of the performance. Also the band is seating up above the stage in view of the audience which is interesting to watch too.

I’m so excited to see this because Fantine is my favorite character I’ve ever played and I got interested in musical theatre when I was was 12 by watching Carrie. I’m 18 now and in my senior year so it feels so satisfying to see my idol play my favorite character. Love you Carrie!

It's been so fun seeing all the different shows you've done since leaving in 2016 but there's something about seeing you in Les Mis that feels so nostalgic and... comforting? I started watching your channel in 2014 so maybe it feels like not *that* much time has passed after all, even though it can feel like an eternity!

We saw the evening performance on this day! You were absolutely amazing, it’s obviously a very emotional role anyway but you brought such a tenderness and we really felt every emotion that Fantine was experiencing. Of course the rest of the cast are phenomenal as well, I will literally never forget the experience, what a dream to have seen it!

I love these videos. I love how sweet and outgoing you are with your cast mates. You just seem like great company tbh, and I love how much you goof off with the rest of the actors - it's fun to see how informal it is right on the other side of the curtain and how much fun you all have. So I just saw you in Les Mis the concert and HOLY GUACAMOLE I was a hot mess the entire time. You were phenomenal, the ensemble were phenomenal, the orchestra were phenomenal. I truly feel blessed to have seen this beautiful production based upon my favourite show. Thank you.

I remember going to the Queens (now the Soundheim) and seeing Les Mis for the first time back in 2015 with you and Rob as Marius and Eponine and it is an experience I will never forget! Thanks for making that experience so enjoyable and memorable and I'm so happy that you're having fun with this new role in this beloved show!!

I have been lucky enough to have seen Les Mis twice already, we only planed on going the one time on Saturday 17th, but were walking past the Gielgud as people were going into the theatre for the matinee on Tuesday 20th and my mum said "should we ask the box office if they have any tickets?" and just like that we were watching it again. You are absolutely flawless as Fantine! The entire cast is so perfect, the production is just incredible. xx

ahhhh listening to the wedding reminded me of being in les mis in high school! i was joly so i also had a little travel to the wings during the wedding so i could come out and sing the end as a lil barricade ghost. so many memories and such a great show to be a part of. wish i could see you as fantine but my life will forever be blessed having seen you as eponine ☺️

I had the huge honour of seeing Les Mis concert on the opening night (10th August) and OMG I was blown away! I nearly SOBBED at I Dreamed a Dream. Thank you for doing stage door that night as well. No need to apologise either for making me cry nearly XD It just means you've done a cracking job and something that only a handful of shows have actually made me do before!
