Just because Evan didn't follow Bob step by step doesn't make him chaotic. If you watch enough Bob Ross you'd know that he says stuff like "This is your world, do whatever makes you happy, there are no limits here, etc." - encouraging people not to "copy" him but make their own worlds.

Having watched a lot of Bob Ross, I know one of the things he believed was that he only gives you a recipe and some techniques, from there the artist makes it their own and you both did just that.

I think it was the pigments with the sky, his were more opaque, her's were more mica. So once she got the hang of things, it all kept getting better. Evan's ocean was good until he decided to "fix" it. Having lived near the Gulf Coast for a long time, I can vouch that it looked lot like a second wave trying to over take the lead wave (happens all the time). Had he wanted to emphasize that, putting a little more foam out to the left side above the lower wave would have been better than trying to cover up what was there.

I actually liked Evan’s with the mouth like wave. Because waves In Florida break like that sometimes. They will kinda break in half and have two separate breaks or more in them. But it looked good without it too. But I did like it before.

Fun fact: The physical texture of paint on the canvas is called “impasto”. I recommend Baumgartner Restoration if you want to learn more cool things about art!

I think both paintings are great and very unique to the two of them. I’ve never been under the impression someone should follow bob ross exactly because that was his style. Take his piece as a reference and then add yourself to it. And I think they both accomplished that.

They’re literally the cutest. I absolutely love watching them. I usually hate these types of videos, because if I’m watching a video like this, I want it to be strictly to the point, and don’t want to hear people talking about other things/joking around/etc. 🤭 I found their channel originally looking for just that maybe a couple years ago. I stayed because I enjoy their personality, it’s not fake or trying too hard like other creators here. It’s kind of like art vlogging. Anyway, like I said, they’re great and I’m surprised they don’t have as much recognition. 💖

This is the first video of you guys that I've watched. Long story short, my cat got spooked from visitors and ran away for 4 days and I was watching this video that came up in my recommend page and this was the very same video I watched the night she returned. I subscribed and I haven't stopped watching you guys since. You cheered me up when I was so so sad and it was coincidentally the same time I was so happy and relieved. Today my cat baby is a happy 6 year old ginger/white fluffy girl. Thanks for your awesome content! I made my boyfriend start watching you too and every Friday or weekend we watch your videos together❤

Fun fact: The physical texture of paint on the canvas is called “impasto”. I recommend Baumgartner Restoration if you want to learn more cool things about art!

I love Evan's ocean. It looks so cool! I think it looks like real waves and came out good. I love the way Katelyn's wave splash looks. Hers is a bit softer overall and closer to Bob's

These turned out so well. I think not covering the whole piece in resin was the right call, it means it will catch the light differently from each angle. Great job guys.

These look amazing! I also really enjoyed the little "this is what 90% of the footage is like". It is so easy to forget how much time and concentration goes into an art piece like this when it has been edited down to a 40 minute video.
