Every single stand is exactly the same in every. The corners are bent, the paint is worn from the feet, the top is rusted and or the stand is too loose or tight.

I'm supposed to be practicing right now-

It is still beyond me how someone who is so good at playing an instrument, can't do something as simple as stacking stands.

The 6th graders this year didn’t put an effort to put away our nice, new stands, so my band director made them all use the bad stands that either gradually fall over time or squeak like the clarinets.

We don't even have one of those rack things at our highschool. Your just supposed to carry your own stand and chair. It's actually pretty smooth.

I’m in a middle school band, and I’m literally the only person that knows how to rack the stands correctly, so I’m the only one that does it 😂

That happens in highschool band too- but the most annoying thing is the fights for the good stands and literally leaving stands all over the place.

Since I'm the only girl who made percussion when the boys get to class they always say I forgot my book or I dont know the counting and they always have to aske me for help.

...and this is why I no longer have the stand rack.

So our school has stage crew do this so we are stuck after some concerts picking up 80-200 stands and putting them in the racks after the concerts. That is always the most boring hour ever for me. We also have to haul the stands back into the right rooms because we take from choirs, band, and orchestra rooms.

I basically control the stand rack and my school, and for good reason. It’s annoying to me when someone puts in the stand backwards then I go and fix it... even if it’s the one on the very inside and i have to take a few stands off the end to fix it
