I am doing WFH, rural area. I have the following solution: Updated to new phone recently and hence made my older 5G phone to act as a Wi-Fi hotspot which will be able to provide upto 100 Mbps (bits/sec) download speeds. This is sufficient for all my data needs that includes a FHD TV. Currently Jio 5G is in trial period in my area and the signal is good, so, I am getting the same internet speeds as Jio AirFiber almost for free. I don't know if this is the best method. But it works for me. Thanks.

This is sufficient for data. But Jio airfiber is telling that, they will provide 550 TV channel and 15 OTT free along with airfiber. People may attract for 550 free TV channels. They are providing free TV set-top box, free router free cable and free airfiber equipment.Only you have to pay 6 months plan charge 708x 6 in advance. The speed is 30 Mpbs

I have a similar use case where I have used my 5G phone for internet connection for working from home. The main problem I faced was, 5G was not so stable in my area, signal is great but stablity wise weak. When ever i attend teams meeting with 5G, I can hear everything whatever i spoke was not reaching the opposite end. So I don't believe Jio 5g for WFH.

upload speed is not standard and fixed like wired bb. still not recommended. only cons on fixed wired is when that gets disconnected. obviously service is good interms of jio and airtel. when we pay for fixed 100mbps upload and download you will need to compromise on the upload speed in airfiber

Jio Air Fiber is currently unable to facilitate multiple connections within the same building due to a shortage of splitters and RMDU stock. This is a factual limitation. It's advised not to apply for Jio Air Fiber if you reside in apartments or if someone else in your building has already secured a Jio Air Fiber connection.your money will be on hold after KYC and should minium wait for a month based on the plan whihc you apply for . Im using Jio air fiber for more than a month in Coimbatore.I am not getting more than 40 MBPS upload speed and the connection gets disconnected frequently for few minutes in a day. This will disonnect your VM and teams call will get disconnected as well. Since Im in WFH im facing so many issues with this Air Fiber connection with my work. I will be moving back to ACT broadband which I was using earlier once the six moth period is over or earlier if this issue continues. If you have a good broadband provider in your area pls take that instead of this Airfiber.

Yes. All you need is a 5g sim and 5g sim router or cheap 5g mobile that you can use as mobile Hotspot. Motorola phones are great. But don't buy jio air fiber or Airtel air fiber. Both are looting money.

Air Fiber is using only on ground 5G infrastructure. One Web and Star link are using Satellite network for connectivity. Only one receiver required.

people bad mouthing this must be living in urban or suburban zones. If jio executed and achieved the promised speeds, im sure this will be a boon for men and women in rural areas doing wfh. I have seen people choosing wfo just because native place does not have any fiber connection feasibility.... at the same time i don't understand, how they will able to maintain this bandwidth with increasing 5g users everyday???

Wherever you are, all you need is jio 5g sim and then take 1.5 gb minimum plan. Then you need either a good 5g mobile or 5g sim router that can take both jio & airtel. Both men in the video showed that kind of device in their last video. Now that is a game changer. Not jio air fiber device or Airtel air fiber. Both are looting money in the name of charges and security deposit. I am using jio 5g and it is unlimited. I get 500 to 600 mbps speed in Chennai. Do you think jio air fiber will give you that speed for small amount? No they are not. And on top of that you have to pay security deposit. Why do you want to waste your hard earned money like that when you can get 500 mbps speed 5g unlimited for a lot less? I paid 666 for 84 days. But you can get unlimited 5g for 239 with 28 days validity too. With Motorola edge 30 I am getting 500 mbps 5g speed. Whether it is rural or urban, all you need is 5g sim and 5g phone or 5g cpe router to get good 5g internet. If they are providing jio air fiber in rural areas then you will get good 5g speeds with your 5g phone too provided you purchased a decent one. Ex Motorola or realme. I don't know about poco never bought them. You don't have to spend thousands of rupees to do that. Please don't buy jio air fiber & airtel air fiber. What they are charging is too much. They are looting people. In the end, it is your money. Your decision. As someone who uses jio 5g daily, I only shared my experience with you to let you know that you have choice. 🙏

Bro, no one uses MBps for speeds. Mbps(Megabits per second) is the common term used for network speeds. Yes 100Mbps on Air Fiber is slower than what we can get on phones which we have seen around 1200 Mbps or 1.2Gbps. But Air Fiber can go up to those speeds, they are limiting for now based on plan.

My first mobile is samsung guru music,my first smartphone is samsung j2 and last 2 years used Samsung M51..M51 suddenly display went off. Travelled nearly 20 km from northchennai to anna nagar smasung service center..They dont even ready to listen what the iissue is..Simply asked whats the issue I said display issue immediately saying display issue for M51 display change cost 8,500..I said just open the device and check wheather any issue in connection..They simply refused pay 8,500 and we will proceed just god fedup and gave to local service center and the issue is there was a loose connection in connecter between display and device..But guess ehat he dont know to repair instead of fixed that connection he just fired using the solder my mistake my entire display is gone..If the smasung service checked this they would easily saved my device..We are paying extra money to samsung mobile for their brand quality and service and they dont even care about their loyal customers..

We are engineers and not some KZfaqrs making content for memes and views. We are here to share our actual experience with products we test and not for bashing someone with an agenda like others. 5G towers or 4G are designed to work in all weather conditions. The reason is stops working during heavy rains is flooding which leads to power cuts and nothing else. Even during recent flooding in Chennai, our Air fiber was working for a long time till the tower lost power. But our Broadband lined failed in a few hours.

Very bad experience. 100 mbps Not exactly.Whats the point in speed test if you select their own server jio. You should have selected other servers in speed test to know the exact average speed. Coz the average we get is only 75 mbps and upload is very poor.

Jio airfiber is a scam. It is entirely wired. And you pay more. I won't even recommend Jio broadband in Coimbatore. Their after sales service is abysmal. My experience with ACT Coimbatore has been much better. So those planning to shift to Jio broadband in Coimbatore better think twice.

இணைப்புகள் அதிகமாகி....டிராபிக் அதிகமாகும் போது இதே ஸ்பீட் கிடைக்குமா !? பாஸ் ? 100 Mbps க்கான மாத கட்டணம் எவ்வளவு ?! Outdoor ஆன்டினா, கேபிள், POE & Indoor ரௌட்டர் க்கான தொகை எவ்வளவு !? 6 மாதத்திற்கான கட்டணத்துடன், இன்ஸ்டேலேஷன் கட்டணம் எவ்வளவு !? 12 மாத பிளானுக்கான சலுகைகள் என்னென்ன !? 5 G டவரிலிருந்து எத்தனை மீட்டர்கள் or கி.மீ சுற்றளவுகள் வரை சிக்கனல் நன்றாக கிடைக்கும்.
