I wish I could go back in time, to the early late 70s/early 80s when hardcore was just beginning and show them this video. Show them how their art would be turned into the exact thing they reviled; background music for the bourgeois, casually interested masses of consumer culture. That the spiritual successors of the same people that used to beat them up for looking different would bob their heads along to their music at an MTV party. God help us. God help us all.

Eobard Thawne Interestingly enough, Serj used to be quite radical left winged in his views. Read the booklet of the album "System Of A Down", read the lyrics, listen to the music, it's not that different to the early Hardcore music. Since then, however. System and Serj have changed quite a lot.
